The accommodation "Casa Appia" is located about 20 km from the center of Rome and to the closest beaches. This offers an optimal mix between sightseeing and deep relax. On approx. 80 sqm a cozy oasis of well-being has been created, which apart from a fully equipped and open kitchen, a comfortable living and dining room with satellite TV, a large bedroom with direct access to the bathroom, also offers a sun terrace with sun loungers and fantastic views as well as a private outdoor pool. The "Casa Appia" in Genzano di Roma, right next to the summer residence of the Pope, is a newly renovated 80 sqm large accommodation with Italian flair, where 2 persons can leave the everyday life behind. The fully equipped and open kitchen invites you to cook together and you will find everything you need from a stove, coffee machine, electric kettle and dishwasher. The living and dining room is open to the kitchen and offers a satellite TV. The large bedroom with direct access to the bathroom is very quiet. The double bed with electrically adjustable slatted frames should offer everyone the optimal sleeping position and maximum comfort while reading and watching TV. The sun terrace with sun loungers as well as the beautiful garden and the pool area will allow you to fully relax. There are also plenty of covered areas in the garden that provide shade and are particularly suitable for reading or eating outside. From the terrace you can enjoy beautiful sunsets with a view on the tall pine trees, that are very typical for the area. The 6 x 4 meter salt water pool provides a pleasant cooling and around the pool there is enough space for sun beds, tables and chairs. You will also find: • A charcoal grill if you want to have a nice barbecue • A generous carport for your car • A washing machine and a dryer for your laundry Access for guests: The bedroom and the bathroom are exclusively at the guests' disposal. The main entrance of the house is located directly in the separate kitchen area and serves as a passage to the apartment above. The house is located in Genzano di Roma, the municipality belongs to the Castelli Romani, a local recreation area outside of Rome with 16 very old and therefore historically very interesting small towns in the Alban hills. The municipality of Genzano di Roma is located directly on the edge of Lake Nemi (Lago di Nemi), a volcanic lake that invites you to enjoy relaxing walks. The Lago di Castel Gandolfo, a larger and a bathing lake with black sandy beaches and also known for the summer residence of the Pope, is only a few kilometres away. A little outside of the tourist streams in Rome you have the opportunity to enjoy a breath of the "Dolce Vita" and to mix with the locals. The municipalities offer many shopping possibilities, cosy bars and plenty of good restaurants with traditional kitchen. Michael Ende, Anita Ekberg and Anthony Quinn already appreciated this area and settled here. The area is very popular among the Romans because of its very high culinary standards and the very good value for money. The area is considered a local recreation area of Rome and offers a lot of green, the "Pratoni del Vivaro" invite you to long walks on lawns. Genzano and the surrounding municipalities such as Lanuvio, Ariccia, Frascati and Albano are archaeologically very interesting, in ancient times these towns were partly already mentioned before the great Rome. The sea is about 23 km away. Anzio, an old elegant harbour town offers a small nearby highlight with the "Grotte di Nerone" ruins of the villa of the emperor Neros. From Anzio there is the possibility to go by speedboat to Ponza or to the other pontine islands, a real pleasure, small bays, crystal clear water and good restaurants complete a day trip. For the visit of San Felice Circeo, Sabbaudia, Sperlonga and Gaeta it is also best to plan a whole day - crystal clear water and the villages on the slopes are especially worth seeing. An amazing sunset with aperitivo will reward you for the approx. 80 km distance.
