The Stables

We are situated in Duncraig Square, a 300 year old building which was formally part of Duncraig Castle Estate. The Square consists of 5 houses set around a central courtyard. The village of Plockton is 2 miles away by road, or a 25 minute walk through woodlands and coastline. Plockton is a small village with 2 hotels with bars, a restaurant and a couple of shops. The village of Kyle is a 10 minute car journey, and here you will find a larger supermarket and all other essential amenities. The Stables is a self contained small home, attached to our own home. There is shared use of a raised decked area with views over to Plockton and Loch Carron and BBQ facilities. Guest have access to entire house and shared access to all outside space. We are happy to interact with guests if they are happy to do so. Or leave in peace! Duncraig Square consists of 5 permanent homes and 2 holiday lets. It is a cosy wee place in the woods, offering peace and quiet, yet only a 5 min drive into the Village of Plockton. There is free parking outside the house. There is a railway station which is a 5 minute walk past a beautiful castle. If coming by train, you must tell the conductor as it is a request stop. If catching the train from Duncraig you must flag the train down at the station! (Yes, really!)
