One of two mill cottages overlooking millstream and Bouzanne river. Situated on the edge of a village which has a shop, bread depot and two restaurants. Convenient for the Brenne Natural Park, the towns of Argenton sur Creuse and St.Gaultier and with easy access to the A20 motorway. This is the place for fishing, relaxing, birdwatching and nature lovers. The mill island and millstream provide plenty to keep children occupied as they mess about in the canoe or build dens. The river and millstream are unfenced so we prefer children over 6 from a safety point of view but talk to us first. Parts of the mill island are shared but the cottage has its own sitting out space with garden furniture and bbq. We think it has everything you need to enjoy your stay but if we have forgotten something just ask. Guests rent the whole cottage but have access to shared mill island for fishing or use of the canoe. We also have two adult bikes for shared use. The cottage has its own access. We have off-road unsecured parking. We live next door and speak English and French. We are on hand if needed for any questions, advice or just a general chat. Situated between Argenton sur Creuse and St Gaultier we are 5 minutes from the A20 motorway. Our village is on several levels and the cottage is on the river next to the church. At the end of the road we have a small restaurant/creperie and a bit further on the village shop, bread depot and a cafe. In the top part of the village is the Chateau de Chabenet which is open to non residents for lunch and dinner at the weekend. Not far from the Creuse River and on the edge of the Brenne Natural Park this is an excellent base for nature lovers. There is a station at Argenton sur Creuse but getting about by bus is not easy. We can get you started by picking you up from the station and taking you to a supermarket for supplies. We also let out the adjacent cottage. So if you are two families this could be the place for you. These are old properties so you may hear your neighbours.
