Lovely quiet barn conveniently located just off the A4 between Bath and Bristol. One main bedroom with king size bed with a mezzanine snug suitable for children. An additional two people can sleep in the sofa bed in the living area. More character than you can shake a stick at. Try a little slice of country. Want a long walk in the countryside ? You’ve got it ! Watching reality Television on the smart TV and want to walk to the nearest Mac Donald’s ? You’ve got it! Truly the best of both worlds Very comfortable little barn, which sleeps 5, so perfect for a small family. Huge beamed kitchen, lounge area with smart TV, good WiFi connection, fully kitted out kitchen, not forgetting the fully stocked coffee machine waiting to help you wake up after a great nights sleep. Refurbished in August 2020, the Barn is a feature of the historic Scotland House Farm. A rural oasis, surrounded on one side by Bristol and the beauty of Stockwood Vale on the other. A fantastic place to either kick back with some great doggie walks or to take advantage of the resurgent night life in bristol. Patio BBQ area with table and chairs for al fresco dining with a view. Ten minutes on the bus gets you to Central Bristol, fifteen minutes on the bus gets you to Bath. In between is some cracking country side, you will often see deer grazing in the fields outside the barn on an evening walk. Take your pick people. The bus to Bristol and Bath stops a few hundred meters from the barn. If you are feeling more energetic then you can cycle all the way into Central Bristol on the dedicated cycle / bus lanes or use the famous Bristol / Bath cycle path to get you to Bath and beyond without having to worry about cars. An Uber to the centre of bristol is between ten and fifteen pounds or you can drive in about ten minutes off peak. The farm is not a working farm, but consists of several private residences, so however tempting it is to go and say hello to the sheep and ponies, remember they are in someone’s garden. Scotland house farm is a gated community protected by an electric gate securing the only way in and out. A code will be issued to you before your arrival so your pride and joy, whether it’s a car, motorbike or scooter will be safe and sound. The mezzanine is suitable for children only!
