In a quiet, large-lot residential subdivision on a dead-end road with amazing views of mountains, mesas, sunsets, city lights. Rural atmosphere just 10 minutes from Dolores. Great location to "work from home." The rental is an apartment attached to host's garage. Host lives in a separate dwelling unit about 400 feet away and screened by trees, making this the ideal accommodation for guests who prefer a private setting. Queen bed is upstairs in open loft. Two comfortable twin air mattresses are provided, with room to set them up either in the loft or in the main living area, as the guest chooses. Additionally, the couch folds down into a small double bed, suitable for two young children or one full-size person who doesn't mind a somewhat spartan sleeping arrangement. This apartment was just finished in 2019 and the kitchen is equipped with all new appliances: full-size refrigerator with ice-maker, electric range, microwave, dishwasher. Self check-in at flexible hours using electronic lock with pass code. Guests have exclusive use of the entire space Although self check-in is provided, your host lives on site and is available to answer questions or address any issues that might arise. When away from home, your host will either be accessible by cell phone and email or will provide a local contact who can respond to any issues. Close to Phil's World, Mesa Verde National Park, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, and San Juan National Forest. Enjoy mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, exploring archeological sites, and many other outdoor recreation opportunities. We are about two hours away from Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park in Utah, and about 1 1/2 hours from Telluride. The small but full-service town of Dolores is just 4 miles/10 minutes away with a grocery store, several restaurants, gas stations, liquor store, post office, library. Cortez is about 20 minutes, Durango 45 minutes.
