Tresbos Farmhouse

Our beautiful farmhouse is nestled in the heart of the Midi Pyrenees in South West France. Your home away from home is complete with heated pool and exclusively yours, making the perfect location for creating memorable family holidays. We arrange a lovely welcome pack full of local produce including wine to help you settle in. The rental rate includes linen, dressing gowns, towels, pool towels and pool heating. The garden is enclosed and the pool has a cover. We have provided a table tennis table and playstation as well as an ipod docking station. We can organise a chef for the evening who can arrange a simple stove meal and wine to make your arrival easier right through to a gourmet evening with service and the washing up! The surrounding area is beautiful with views of the Pyrenees and the lake from the garden. We have provided bikes so that you can explore and a list of local markets so you always have somewhere new to buy your local produce. We rent the farmhouse, gardens and heated pool on an exclusive basis so its all yours for your holiday. Our fantastic housekeeper, Jo, will greet you and show you around; helping you to familiarise yourself with how the house works and where things are. Jo can also help with further info and advice should you need it during your stay. The local auberge provides brilliant local cooking - the menu gastronomique is great value at 35 euro (inc wine) and is only 3 mins in the car. There is a market most mornings in one of the local towns Campuzan, Galan, Lannemezan, Castlenou, Trie- ( and a couple more) all within 15 mins, which are full of fab local produce and lots of wine and every weekend the towns take turns to hold antique markets. The nearest town, Trie, has 3 boulangerie ,bike shop, shoe shop, pharmacy, 4 patisserie, small supermarket, four cafes etc - and has a really traditional French village centre.(1 minute outside of Trie there is a huge supermarket - whatever takes your fancy!) There are 4 great golf courses near us, a spa in Val louron (45 mins away ) (Website hidden by Airbnb) and massage and reflexology in Trie (5 mins), which you can book in advance via their website - (Website hidden by Airbnb) There is an outdoor high wire activity centre at Pavie (40 mins), a waterpark at Mirande (30mins) and 700 yds away we have a huge lake which supports a nature reserve and there are picturesque walks around it and through the surrounding woodland. Spain and tapas is a hour away, Biarritz is well worth the 2 hour drive and the mountains are fantastic and offer an amazing and accessible day trip from the farmhouse. On the other hand, you may just want to spend your time relaxing by the pool! Nearest airports are Lourdes, Toulouse & Pau. A car is essential. Taxis are few and far between and very expensive.
