Habersham Mills The Shed

Enjoy the unique renovated spaces at the historic Habersham Mills. Part of the original Mill General Store, a team of architects have worked to restore this structure. Next to the Soque River shoals, only 70 mins from Atlanta and Athens. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE 7 SEPARATE AIRBNB SPACES ON THE HABERSHAM MILLS PROPERTY (THE P.O., SHED, ARTIST, BARBER SHOP, AIRSTREAMS AND CABIN). THEREFORE, DURING YOUR STAY THERE MAY BE OTHER LODGERS USING THE COMMUNAL SPACES ALONG THE RIVER. HOWEVER, WITH THE SIZE OF THE PROPERTY, SOCIAL DISTANCING CAN BE EASILY ATTAINED AT ALL TIMES. This space is located behind what used to be the Post Office and Store of the Old Mill. It has been renovated with numerous materials including steel, reclaimed wood, and cast concrete. The floors are original. You will have access to the Soque River. There is a fire pit on site you are able to use. There is also a screened in porch next to the river for picnics. Cori is based in Atlanta and her or her family might occasionally be in the property. Melissa and her husband Duncan live 4 miles away and are available upon arrival for a tour and if you have any questions during your stay. There is another caretaker that lives on the property with is dog "Buddy". We have Kayaks on the property that are available if you give us prior notice. You can determine how much interaction you want to have with us. There are good restaurants and thrift stores in downtown Clarkesville. We are also very close to Piedmont college. A short drive away is Tallulah Falls and Helen. Upon arrival there is an info sheet with more suggestions for local attractions and restaurants. Parking is all around on the property and included. It is highly advisable that you have your own vehicle or a rental vehicle. There are off leash dogs on and around the property. During your stay, you are welcome to explore the mill spaces on the site. You will have access to the Soque River. Kayaks are available to rent for $20 each per day. Please give us prior notice if you are interested and you may pay cash or check upon arrival. Fire pits are on-site and stocked for your use. There is also a screened porch next to the river for guests' use. Upon arrival, you will be provided with a map so you can explore the property. You can determine how much interaction you want to have with us, but someone is always available for assistance. There are good restaurants and thrift stores in downtown Clarkesville. we are also very close to Piedmont college. Upon arrival there will be an info sheet in your room with more suggestions for nearby restaurants, attractions and activities. Parking is all around on the property and included. It is highly advisable that you have your own vehicle or a rental vehicle. There are off leash dogs on and around the property. Please be aware that although the property is secluded it is located on a road with occasional neighborhood traffic.
