The Old Dairy
The large rammed earth home with 4 spacious bedrooms and a total of five beds with the master bedroom featuring its own en-suite bathroom. The home is open plan and features a large and modern, farm style fully equipped kitchen that adjoins the family room with its iconic, cast iron pot belly stove to keep you cosy in the colder months and also has reverse cycle air conditioning for the warmer months. There is a central games room with a pool table and a TV. One of the most distinctive feature of the home is the massively wide veranda that wraps all the way around the home. It offers the younger ones the ability to ride their bikes or scooters, as was the tradition with the original family having regular, veranda races when their own kids were only little. It also offers no matter what the weather the ability to find the perfect spot to read a book or seat everyone at the big outdoor table and enjoy a family meal. Or simply, sit and relax and take in the beautiful views out across the big lawn in front of the home. If you feel like a bush walk you can take a stroll down through the orchid, to the dam (please be cautious with small children) or walk westwards, out to the hill they call the river of rocks where you may just meet one of the black faced Suffolk sheep on the property. Overall there is over 50 acres to explore making The Old Dairy a truly unique and tranquil, country escape. Bridget is available any time by phone or email to answer questions or offer ideas about things to do. We cannot provide firewood during the wet months so please bring some if you wish to make use of the indoor pot belly or outdoor fire pit. Can pick up from Gidgeganup service station on the way from Perth. If you choose not to do not worry, there is a reverse cycle air con to keep you warm.
