Only a few steps up the hill to all the restaurants, bars, shops and antiques of Tetbury and right next to some fabulous country walks. Luxuriate in the large walk-in shower and enjoy the fully appointed kitchen. All newly refurbished and just launched, this is a large apartment with separate, fully fitted kitchen looking out onto our cottage garden. There is a large living area with lots of comfy seating, a 55" smart TV, a dining area and lots of books to read. Our bathroom includes a large walk in shower (no bath). The bedroom enjoys a super king size bed with 400 count Egyptian cotton bedding, smart TV and dressing table area. The bedroom opens onto our lovely garden where you can enjoy a drink around our chimenea fire or dinner al fresco on our outdoor dining table and chairs. The Retreat enjoys the best of both worlds. It is a lovely, quiet setting overlooking a green, yet only a very short stroll up the hill to the centre of town and all that Tetbury has to offer. It is also a stone's throw from one of the Cotswolds main walking routes which you can access just across the Green. Our local housekeeper, Cara will be available. We will send you her contact details with your pre-arrival information if you have any questions. Gumstool Hill is a beautiful, historic street and site of the famous Tetbury Woolsack Races in May. The Millennium Green opposite the house has a pretty river running beside it and from here you can access the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre where you can enjoy refreshments or visit one of their art exhibitions. This is also where you can pick up one of the main walking routes through Tetbury. Also just across the green, you will find the Royal Oak Pub, a friendly gastropub with a large attractive garden and cosy corners for winter dining. A short stroll up the hill brings you into the centre of Tetbury where you can find a plethora of restaurants, cafes, pubs, interiors and gift shops as well as the Tetbury antiques shops and market. Tetbury highlights also include: Highgrove House (Prince Charles' residence) on the outskirts of Tetbury. Westonbirt Arboretum, the National Arboretum, which is stunning and is home to over 2,500 species of tree from all over the world. Gatcombe Horse trials at Gatcombe Park, only a short drive away. The Cotswold Water Park consisting of 180 lakes with a multitude of outdoor activities on offer. Lots of lovely country walks and bike trails all around. We are situated right in the centre of Tetbury. It is a short stroll up the hill to the main shops, restaurants and pubs. We are also opposite a green where you can access bike and walking paths. There is also a lovely dog-friendly gastropub just a few yards away from the green.
