Atop a two car garage detached from our primary residence, our beautiful mountain guest house is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Located on 10 wooded acres just 4 miles north of Moscow, Idaho, we have breathtaking views of the Moscow Mountain area facing East. Our mountain modern interior is complete with a full service kitchen, generous living room with gas fireplace, and two bedrooms sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom. Our guest house is just 50 feet from our primary residence so we will be nearby to help with any questions or concerns you having during your stay. It is important that you understand that we will not be wearing masks and may feel compelled to greet you with bare faced smiles in the driveway. We go the extra mile in preparing a clean guesthouse for our guests. The entire place is vigorously scrubbed and polished and we open all of the windows to clear out any stagnant air. Our desire is for your stay to be relaxing and comforting. Our 1/2 mile gravel driveway is quite steep. While we’ve seen crazy winter weather all months of the year here in Moscow, April through October you should be fine driving up and down in a two wheel drive vehicle. November through March there is always possibility of snow, so AWD and FWD are highly recommended. January and February are typically the heaviest snow months on the Palouse. If you are booking for those months we strongly recommend a vehicle that is good in snow as well as carrying chains. If you have any questions please message me. I’m happy to help you navigate weather challenges. We have a beloved hundred pound dog who loves to greet our guests with a few barks and hand licks. Contained by an electronic fence, Scout will wander the property throughout your stay but most often is found napping on our patio or indoors.. This guest house is above a two car garage so you must be physically able to ascend a flight of stairs to get into the space. We pride ourselves in the relaxing and peaceful setting that we create for our guests. For the sake of our enjoyment of this natural setting and our fantastic neighbors we request that our guests maintain this vibe by refraining from large gatherings or loud outdoor revelry. You are welcome to explore within the boundaries of our property to get photos of wildlife, or the breathtaking vistas of Moscow and the Palouse Region. Out of respect for our neighbors please feel free to ask us about our boundaries and areas that are free to explore. You have access to the 2nd story apartment but the garage area is not accessible to guests. All vehicles must be parked in the gravel driveway. We will be nearby to answer questions. Please let us know how we can make your stay comfortable. One of the best things about living in this setting is that it is incredibly relaxing and peaceful. To maintain this we ask our guests to refrain from loud behavior that would disrupt the serene setting which we and our neighbors value so much. We encourage you to explore the serene woods to view and photograph wildlife or the breathtaking vistas of Moscow and the Palouse Region. Out of respect for our neighbors please feel free to ask us about our boundaries and stay within them during your stay. Our guesthouse feels like an isolated retreat but it is actually quite close to the city of Moscow. Expect a 10 -15 minute drive to most locations within the city of Moscow. We are 20 minutes from Pullman, WA. We have a six year old 100 pound Akita named Scout that is contained by an electronic collar and will intermittently roam the property during your stay. He spends a significant amount of time inside our home and is always indoors at night. He loves visiting with our guests, however be aware that he can be overly playful while guests are playing in the snow in a way that makes guests, especially with children, uncomfortable. If for any reason you do not feel comfortable with him outside while you are staying in our guesthouse, please either call or text us and we will contain him for as long as you would like.
