Woodland Yurt

The Woodland Yurt is set in an idylic location, surrounded by nature and trees. You can expect to hear the owls hooting. The yurt is nestled by our Great Oak tree and there is a fire pit outside to enjoy a bonfire and wonder at the stars... The Woodland Yurt is a simple escape from the city. Immerse yourself in the sounds of nature and enjoy outdoors bonfire in the evening. We have hosted guests for over three years now and the Woodland Yurt has its own microclimate. Attracting the barn owls in the nearby oak tree and who knows, maybe a badger. You will spot our Shetland lambs and flock wandering around the nearby fields. Burdock the ram and his wonderful family are rare breed and we sell their colourful fleeces and raise them to organic soil association standards. This inexpensive and simple retreat is for nature lovers who enjoy looking out for birds, wildlife, bugs & beasties. If you are not interested in spiders or owls then this is not the retreat for you! The Yurt hosts a comfortable double bed and also a simple futon with some beautiful Indian throws. It can accomodate up to four sleeping comfortably. There is a simple stove for making tea & coffee - nettle tea is always an option! Please bring sleeping bags and pillow for sleeping and cooking utensils etc. It is camping in woodland style! You'll be able to take walks in the woods and enjoys an evening bonfire. There is free parking on the farm. Ruth will be available to offer interaction throughout the stay Brattleby is a historic village and the farm takes part in the HLS Natural England scheme, maintaining hedgerows and wildlife areas. Brattleby Farm has an environmental ethis and grows Biofuels crops such as Willow & Miscanthus There is a regular no 103 bus from Lincoln Bus Station Handsome Cabs (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The Dambuster's Pub serve local ales and meals. it is also a heritage centre for war time memorabilia for The Dambusters and RAF This is simple Off The Grid living but we have built a great Wash House with hot water heater and beautiful roll top bath for you to enjoy bubbles and a soothing relax after expeditions in the Woodland. There is also sink and a simple toilet & wash area in the farm barns Brattleby House was the temporary home to Guy Gibson of the famous Dambusters
