Casa Trasimonte | country house with private pool

Casa Trasimonte is situated on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno, in the heart of Italy, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. The area is characterized by extensive vineyards and olive groves. The medieval villages are among the most beautiful in Italy. In July and August we only rent by the week (from Saturday to Saturday). Check in from 16.00 hrs and check out before 10.00 hrs. The swimming pool (5x10m) is open from April to October. If necessary, it can be heated. The house can be rented for a maximum of 12 people. It consists of: -4 to 5 bedrooms (5 x double bed + 2 x single bed on the mezzanine, 1 bunk bed). - Lounge with large fireplace - 2 fully equipped kitchens with access to the terrace (2 x dishwasher) - 3 bathrooms (each with toilet, washbasin, shower; 1 bathroom also has a bath) - Large outdoor terrace in front of the property with panoramic views over the garden and lake - 3 covered pergolas to relax in the shade - Large fully fenced, child-friendly garden - Large heated swimming pool (5x10m) - Complete privacy (but not isolated, restaurant even within walking distance) - Magnificent view over the lake - BBQ (picking herbs in the garden: thyme, rosemary,...) There will be no other guests present. The house, garden and swimming pool are completely private. You only have to take into account that once a week (usually on Friday in the morning) the gardener will visit you for the maintenance of the garden and pool. The area around Lake Trasimeno offers a wealth of nature and culture. Around the lake you will find a number of 'borghi più belli d'Italia', such as Castiglione del lago, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Monte del lago. You can buy delicious local products. A trip to the islands (isola Maggiore and isola Polvese) is also recommended. It is also possible to rent a boat (or pedalo) to explore the lake. Along the lake you can enjoy an aperitif on one of the terraces. In the surroundings you can also enjoy excellent food (fish as well as meat dishes and all kinds of specialities). During the golden hour in the evening you can take beautiful pictures of the setting sun over the lake. Because of its central location in the heart of Italy it is easy to explore both Umbria and Tuscany. You will drive through beautiful landscapes full of olive groves, vineyards and sunflower fields. And you will reach the most beautiful medieval towns: Assisi, Gubbio Spello, Spoleto, Deruta, Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Pienza, Chiusi, Orvieto... Perugia, the beautiful and lively capital of Umbria, is also within easy reach. It is also possible to spend a relaxing day at the swimming pool of Casa Trasimonte while enjoying the view of the lake. The terrace and garden also offer several shaded corners with pergolas full of roses and jasmine. Children can have fun in the swimming pool or in the playground in the fully fenced garden. Herbs such as thyme and rosemary can be picked in the garden and used in a delicious meat dish or in the evening on the BBQ.... Near the lake it also crosses the axis Firenze-Rome. There is therefore an ideal connection with the surrounding regions. By train: - From Tuoro sul Trasimeno or Passignano sul Trasimeno you can take the train to Perugia (about half an hour, 4 EUR) or Assisi (about an hour, 6 EUR). - From Terentola-Cortona you can take the train to Florence (about an hour and a half; 11 EUR) or Rome (about 2 hours; 11 EUR).
