Our standard poodles Chevy and Nelson are goofy and friendly, but they are happy to stay in our apartment downstairs if you prefer not to interact with them. We both work in healthcare and have varying schedules, but if we’re away you can reach us by phone or text anytime. We are an easy going couple, and we love to meet new friends and have a chat. If you prefer privacy, we have a separate living space downstairs and can let you enjoy the peace and quiet. Martinsville is a small town in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with great coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, art galleries, a brewery and shopping. As our guests, you will have access to Lake Lanier and walking trails (3 min drive) We are a 5 min drive to Virginia Museum of Natural History and 8 mins from the Martinsville Speedway. Dan river access is nearby with kayaking, swimming, fishing, hiking/biking trails and canoeing. Within 1 hr drive to Chateau Morisette Vineyards and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Greensboro NC, Winston Salem NC, and Roanoke VA are also all within an hour drive. Navigate the town by car, bike or Uber. There is also an Enterprise car rental in town. Parking in the driveway is limited to 1 space that can easily fit a car, SUV or small truck. Any extra vehicles or large trucks/campers can be parked on the street in front of the house. All parking is free.
