Enjoy the peace and quiet of rural living in this self contained, recently converted dairy bales. Situated on a rural property you can relax and look out over the horses grazing in the paddocks to the rolling hills. This is the place to be if you want to relax and sample rural living in the beautiful, northern rivers coastal hinterland. The dairy features a large living/ dining space with separate kitchen and one bedroom with ensuite and walk in robe. There is a small outdoor deck to soak up the views. The bales have been recently renovated and are furnished in a modern country style. They are located at a distance (about 60 m) from the main house which ensures privacy and peace. This is an ideal spot to base yourself to explore the Northern Rivers. We are 7km from Alstonville (our main country town/village) which has a small shopping centre with supermarket, chemist, newsagents and etc and a great selection of cafes. It is about 20 minutes drive to the beach (Ballina or Lennox Head), 25mins to Bangalow, and 30-35 mins to Byron. The Northern Rivers is a great place for a break with its diverse culture and beautiful scenery. There is a great choice of small villages with independent craft, clothes and homeware shops not to mention the wide selection of cafes for breakfast lunch and dinner. The beaches are awe inspiring and the Byron Lighthouse walk is a frequent family ritual. The famous craft markets run each weekend with a great variety of local crafts, produce, food and music. Then there is the old fashioned atmosphere of movies at the Star Court Theatre in Lismore or the funky atmosphere of the Pig House Cinema in Byron and the choice of three mainstream movie theatres in Lismore, Ballina and Byron. Any additional guests are strictly by prior arrangement. Our policy is to be there to meet you and help you settle in and then we leave you to enjoy your stay. However, we are close by if you need anything and all our contact details are in the cottage for easy access. We get the studio ready for each guest on the day of arrival to make sure it is really well presented so we ask that bookings should be finalised 24 hours prior to arrival.
