17thC Cottage Annexe nr Appleby cont breakfast inc

This is our much loved home, a 17thC cottage, wonderful views of the fells, great walks right from the door. Half an hour by car you can be in the Lake District, an hour the Yorkshire Dales, Scotland, or travel the scenic Settle-Carlisle Railway. Guest space is the one up, one down private mini "cottage" you can see to the left of "your" front door. Your own private dining/sitting room with stairs up to double bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room. There is a cooler, plates, cutlery so you can bring a takeaway, but no cooking facilities. Maps & leaflets provided so that you can step outside the door and go walking. We offer an en suite bedroom with double bed, TV/DVD player, garden views, accessed by a private staircase leading from your own little dining/sitting room with hospitality tray, TV, DVD player but no kitchen facilities. You will also find a selection of DVDs, books & maps. Feel free to use the garden and summerhouse and enjoy the wonderful views. Continental breakfast is included. We offer our guests a warm welcome and the opportunity for privacy in their own sitting room, it's almost a mini private cottage with hospitality tray, tea, coffee etc Brampton, Appleby, is a very pretty village facing the Pennines so the views are wonderful and the walks are right on our doorstep, whilst for "days out" the Lakes are close at hand. Appleby, 2 miles away, has a variety of pubs, shops & cafes & is on the scenic Settle-Carlisle Railway (highly recommended). It is 12 miles from Penrith which is on the East Coast Mainline route, however a car is essential to make the most of your visit as there is no public transport to Brampton. Private car parking in our drive and secure space to store cycles and motorcycles if required. NO KITCHEN FACILITIES AVAILABLE. There is a hospitality tray with kettle, tea, coffee etc, cutlery and crockery in case you want to bring back a takeaway, and a small cooler, all in the guest sitting room but we are unable to heat up food or offer use of the kitchen, sorry.
