Countryside Home with Private Pond and Forest.
A renovated 200-year-old French countryside home on 6.25 acres with its own private pond and forest. Very peaceful--yet invigorating!--located only 2 kilometers outside town. If you love waking up to birds chirping, surrounded by trees and lush green grass in a natural park-like setting, taking long walks, paddle-boating or fishing on your own pond and pier, this place is for you. SAFETY: The stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom with the double bed and bunkbeds are very narrow and steep. Young children must be supervised on stairs. The ladder-like stairs to the open loft bedroom with 2 single beds is also very steep and not suitable for young children to sleep in. Though the property is surrounded by fencing, and the pond is a distance from the house, there is no secure fencing between the house and the pond. KITCHEN INCLUDES: dishwasher, cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, cookware, utensils, dishware, stemware, flatware, blender, coffee maker and filters, Phillips Sensor pod coffee maker, steamer, electric water pot, vinegars, oils, salt, pepper and a small collection of herbs and spices. There will be enough coffee and black tea for a day or two. COMMON SPACE: a collection of board games and reusable shopping bags, cleaning tools are in closets. OUTDOOR AREAS: pond with pier, paddle boat, fishing poles, ping pong table, dart board, coal BBQ stand, outdoor patio with table and chairs Parking available both inside the compound, beyond the gates as well as on the rural, quiet road. We are available by phone 3pm-7am French time (6am-10pm CA, USA time). 24/7 for emergencies. We have local professional help as well as local family members available to help in person, should this be necessary as well. It is a wonderful grocery store with all amenities from food and clothing to books and fishing supplies! There is a local "boulangerie" (bakery), a post office, a clothing store, laundromat as well as many other specialty shops. PARTHENAY and NIORT will be the closest towns outside Secondigny to shop and find a variety of restaurants GROCERY STORES: Super U / Hyper U, Leclerc, Carrefour, Intermarche, Casino/Geant, Leader Price, Monoprix. **it must be noted that shops and restaurants are often closed during certain hours and on certain days. Many shops and smaller grocery stores will close for a 2-hour lunch. Many stores will be closed on Sunday or open only limited hours.
