Since this is a home layout, the owners may at times need to access the attic especially around holidays. They will ask you for permission before entering. Backyard: The owners have direct access to this space from the back. So you need permission to use the grill and/or patio space if you just wanted to relax. Most likely guests who are renting for weeks/months will have access. Parking space: You can park for free in front of our home. Have your car windshield face the main street (william street). The only times you may lose the space will be (1) Thursday's evenings during the summer - free music event at the pond, (2) a few times in summer if there are bbq's/bdays going on weekends, (3) winter time - For heavy snow, will have to park the night before on our driveway for townships snow trucks to pass through. - My co-host will be available by airbnb communications if you have any questions or concerns about the listing. I will be living in the other suite below you, if we are not on vacation ourselves we will greet you when you arrive. During your stay, I have odd working hours plus I run a non-profit organization. Manuel, my husband, is retired, will be at home but keeps mostly to himself. We are open for questions/recommendations you may have or if any emergency arises. Very charming, clean and family friendly suburban neighborhood. Residents of this street have pretty much been the same for decades. Even though houses are close together there are no noisy neighbors and very closely located to most amenities. Summer times: They play free music/bands outside at the new market pond nearby every thursday night. Also the neighbors a few times in the summer will have reunions or kids party. These will be the only time you may lose your parking space for a couple hours. You can park on any street. It is 15-20 mins drive to Rutgers University. In walking distance to a beautiful local pond and a 2nd park with a playground/tennis courts/basketball/ soccer fields. The best way is by car but there are places/shops nearby you can walk / bike to in 5-8 mins. The Dunellen train station about a 10-15 minutes walk. Lyft and Uber are easily available in the area to take you to any point of interest nearby For guests staying less than 6 days: You are are welcomed to leave the trash and recyclables at the bottom of the stairs when you are checking out. For guests a week or more: We would greatly appreciate it if you can place the trash bags and recyclables outside on the curb on the designated pickup days for the town. More details in the "Home Manual" Winter Season: The owners are more senior so you will need to assist in shoveling the snow from your patio entrance. You may have to park in our driveway the night before , if there is a forecast for heavy snow the hosts will let you know. Please be aware that if you have a car, we ask that you'll be responsible for your part in shoveling the snow in the driveway and cleaning off your car Cleaning Services: We will supply basic cleaning supplies. We appreciate it guests can clean up after themselves when possible. Please ask us for quotes if you would like us to the apartment cleaning service during your stay. Please note: - This is an older home, so you may lose hot water if the toilet and/or sink and/or shower are running at the same time. This also includes if the other owners run their laundry unit. Noise: We do live near a commercial train line and main road. Living here for decades, we don't hear it anymore but if your a super light sleeper then you may have trouble as the train can sometimes go by around 11pm and again during the night. But it's not so loud to the point can't hear yourself.
