This newly built stylish pole house is sunny, comfortable and welcoming. It has an open plan living area with big slider doors opening onto a large deck with beautiful views of the sea framed by giant rata trees. Built on a limestone outcrop it is tucked away and feels very private. It has two bedrooms inside and a sleep out next to the house. Only 5 minutes walk to Pohara beach, a great base to explore Golden Bay from. Enjoy relaxing on the deck, listening to birdsong and watching the sunset. A lovely new house, just over a year old, built with a lot of thought to detail and earthy style, which has all day sun and is an enjoyable space to be. Still in the early stages of landscaping , the property still has plenty of trees and bird life. A well equipped kitchen with coffee and tea provided . There is speakers with an aux cord for plugging your device into and WiFi , also a screen to plug a computer to for watching movies . A log burner in the corner of the lounge makes it cosy on cool evenings. There are two bedrooms inside , one with a king bed the other has the option of a queen bed or 2 singles, and the large deck is mostly covered so it can be used in all weather. The little sleep-out next to the house with a double bed has french doors opening to a view of the sea. The house is not suitable for children under the age of 8. This is because there is some limestone outcrops with drop-offs and a small stream with steep banks running down to it. So extra care needs to be taken if you are near the stream or the outcrop . Also the house is built on poles and there is a staircase up to the high balcony. A gravel driveway leads up to the house with room for parking a vehicle, there is also plenty of parking just below the house and for turning when you back down from the house. At the very back of the property with separate access, is a self contained sleep out which a quiet tenant is living in. I will be available by phone , calling or texting me if there is something you are needing during your stay . Pohara Valley is a friendly and quiet neighbourhood with Pohara beach at the entrance to the valley. It is nestled between giant rata trees with bubbling streams running through the valley amongst gardens and 1920's cottages dotted up the valley road. Only 5 minuets walk to the beach , which is a great walking beach at low tide and good swimming beach at high tide. Also within walking distance of tennis courts , cafes , bars , restaurants and a general store , take away and health spa. Close to Tarakohe port and boat ramp and more stunning beaches . Close to Able Tasman National park and Wainui Falls. And only approximately 10km from Takaka it is a great location for a holiday base. The house is not suitable for children under the age of 8. This is because there is some limestone outcrops with drop-offs and a small stream with steep banks running down to it. So extra care needs to be taken if you are near the stream or the outcrop . Also the house is built on poles and there is a staircase up to the high balcony. At the very back of the property separated by a fence and with separate access, is a self contained sleep out which a quiet tenant is living in.
