Highlands farm stay is situated in a serene and idyllic location amidst coffee plantation with a beautiful backdrop overlooking nature. The stay is a quick 20 minute drive from Madikeri, the capital town of Coorg. Stay with a traditional Coorg family, learn their daily livelihood, taste local cuisines and wine. You can enjoy a trail walk in the coffee estates, get to know how coffee/pepper is grown and collected, relax to the sounds of nature, get lost in your thoughts. Reclaim yourself here ! It's a home stay and you will be staying with a small family. We believe in sustainable living and are inching towards it to reduce carbon footprint. We provide mouth watering home made food on request at an extra cost (Breakfast and Dinner only). For food charges contact us. As we will be running daily errands we won’t be able to offer lunch at home but you are always free to use our kitchen. Remember, traditional breakfast is complementary for the guests !! Forget all your fancy gadgets, we believe in simplicity, peace of mind and so if you are looking out for electronic gadgets to occupy your time, you will be disappointed. We want you to relax, be close to nature, socialise and taste a nice blend of unique life offering. The stay is situated away from the hustle bustle of the town. So if you are planning to stay in town or close vicinity, being honest, we are not the right place. Most of the top mobile networks (barring Vodafone) work absolutely fine in open areas. We have Jio wifi if your phone doesn't catch network. So chill !! We have board games to play and books to read so you don’t get bored and keep your self entertained. Or just enjoy the calm view from the balcony and bask in the early morning sunshine. I‘m not available in person at the property but my aunt (Rekha) and her family will be there all the time and attend you during the stay and help you with check-in and check-out. But I’m available on phone if you need anything. If you are coming along with private driver, then we don’t have a resting place for the driver but we can provide restroom access and also food if informed prior. Alcohol is permitted for consumption at the place. Yes, guests will be attended and helped throughout during their stay here. For any needs, reach out to us during the stay and we are more than happy to help. Due to covid, we will have minimum interaction as per protocols. On urgency, you can reach us over phone. Dinner will be provided at an extra cost. Both Non-veg and veg options available. Contact us for food arrangements. No charges for children below 6 years ! We have all necessary equipment in the kitchen for infant feeding. Note: Breakfast will be served between 7-9 am only. Dinner timings will be between 8-10 pm. Request you to please adhere to the timings. If you plan to check-in early or check-out late, then please check with us. We charge a fee of 700 INR for either of it and purely based on availability only. If you require utmost privacy please let us know in advance. Since it’s a Homestay you might have some minor disturbances for which we apologise in advance. Situated away from town amidst a coffee plantation. Silent neighborhood. No shops or hotels nearby. Madikeri is the nearest town which is 8 kms away. So plan your travel and arrangements accordingly. If you love sky gazing you get some very clear skies during winters and early summers. You can hop on the roof and spot some amazing visuals with a good telescope or a cam. Reaching here with private transport is easier. Although there are public transport, taxis, autos (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) INR) available from Madikeri to reach here. Note, there are no quick options for food. So either you can avail home food by telling us in advance or carry food with you while coming. (You can access the kitchen and cook for us as well !!!) Getting there(Map): The location (map) given in the airbnb is wrong. Please do not use that for navigation. Please connect with me before you plan to arrive. For any additional guest, I.e any adults more than 2, we have an additional charge of 800/- per person. We will provide you with extra mattress if required. Please let us know in advance. We sell home grow coffee, pepper and home-made wine at very reasonable rates. So you can buy at the stay rather than buying at stores in Madikeri town that charge exuberantly. For other spices and large quantities we can help you with local businesses who will benefit and offer at a very reasonable rates. We also have friendly pets staying in the vicinity - dogs, cat and cows. Also owing to the stay situated amidst plantations you may encounter harmless insects during night time. They get attracted to lights. But nothing to worry as they are part of our ecosystem. Also, since the stay is little interior there is electricity fluctuations which may be intermittent especially during monsoon seasons. Request to bear with us kindly on that.
