This 5 bedroomed (all ensuite), simple, basic but fantastic house is on one of the most unspoilt, quiet beaches you will ever find! We are situated right at the end of the bay.....the best location on the beach..... with gorgeous views and food to die for! Down a few steps from the house, the 1km, palm tree lined beach is truly beautiful! If you are looking for a relaxing Beach holiday and Villa, you can't beat this! Situated on the Southern tip of Sri Lanka, Talalla Bay Beach House is somewhere you will never want to leave! This restored 5 bedroomed (all ensuite), simple and basic but fantastic house is on one of the most unspoilt beaches you will ever find. Down a few steps from the house the palm tree lined beach is perfect for a leisurely late night stroll topped off with glass of chilled wine at the end. Whether having a breakfast of wonderful tropical fruits and curd or a listening to the sound of the waves eating a delicious homemade Sri Lankan curry, (all from local produce or catch of the day), this is an excellent place to relax and unwind. Our charming cook can also cook and present to you delicious foods on the big table within the outside/inside dining area. We are located 15 mins away from the busy town of Matara, 30 mins from Mirissa, 1hr 30 mins from Galle and 2hrs 30mins away from Yala National Park. Matara is a bustling town with a few very good supermarkets that sell western food, an Old Dutch Fort and lovely temples in and around the local area. Mirissa is a little beach town about 30 mins from Talalla, on the way to Galle, where you can have a a lovely meal at a few restaurants on the beach and if its the correct season you can go whale watching too! Only 1hr 30 mins away is the UNESCO World Heritage, Old, Dutch Colonial Fort in Galle. It's a great up area that has fantastic restaurants and a few excellent shops. Its a beautiful place. If you are feeling a little more adventurous, Yala National Park is around 2hrs 30 mins away and is most famous for the highest concentration of leopards in one area. Step right out of the house and onto the beach. Its almost more of a boat than a house! You can access any part of the House. Well your main point of contact with be with Nilmini who cooks really good and original food all from fresh local ingredients. Management Emma) will pop by from time to make sure everything is ok. Otherwise we just leave you to enjoy! Well we are right at the South of one of the few truly unspoilt paradise beaches in Sri Lanka. How long we can keep it that way is questionable but so far so good. A couple of new restaurants have popped up along the beach giving a bit more variety along with the hotel next door where you can get surf and yoga lessons as well as great massage. (for a fee) You need to turn into Talalla at 170 km post South of Matara. Parking is not available but public transport is very easy to use. Tuk tuks and A/C vans/cars can also be arranged. Its Yoga (at the retreat for a fee), surfing (local area) temples and beach life. Like all Sea's and Oceans please be aware it can be dangerous at times.
