Peaceful retreat at Douro Valley
We love to meet people, talk and show our Region to our guests. Private room and bathroom in very old house. Equipped kitchen, living room and terrace. Quiet and near of Régua ( 7 minutes), Lamego and Vila Real. Sixteenth century manor house, which has been in the family for several generations transformed into an Alojamento Local (AL) The House is integrated into a small farm, which current owners strive to maintain and improve, situated in the Douro Valley Region, World Heritage. Equipped kitchen, 1 furnished bedroom, one full bathroom. Free WI-FI Kitchen equipped with crockery and small appliances. Green spaces around the House. Barbecue facilities. I am always available to give information about the Region, to help in any difficulty. I love meeting different people and cultures. If my guests prefer to be more independent, I leave them completely at easy. Lourentim is a very peaceful little place surrounded by vineyards, but very near of cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. The calm, the surrounding beauty of the vineyards in the different seasons of the year,being so close to cities like Peso da Régua, Lamego and Vila Real, but at the same time enjoying a great peace and tranquility and being in contact with Nature makes our house a special place for your holydays. There are very nice river beaches for a swim on hot days; belvederes from where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes. The Natural Park of Serra do Alvão is nearby, as is the Serra do Marão. There are several pedestrian paths, and you can start one in the village of Laurentim (or Lourentim),very near the house. We have a bus stop at 300 meters, meanwhile only a bus two times early in the morning and two times in the afternoon . To rent a car is highly recommended. Public transports are few, to Peso da Régua, Lamego or Vila Real , so rent a car is highly recommend and it gives you the possibiliyty to discover wonderful landscapes. From the House it is possible hiking, boat trips, visits to farms and wine tastings. Depending on the season and availability we share with our guests jams, fruits and vegetables from the biologic vegetable garden.
