Property has lots of native trees and wildlife, especially birds. There is a deck with furniture to use also. Guests have a private entrance and can maintain privacy if they wish. Risdon Vale is an up and coming area of Hobart, with lots of new housing developments popping up. We live on the outskirts, near an old quarry and lots of Reserve, as well as trail bike tracks. The tracks get heavy use at weekends. The shopping precinct has a basic grocery shop, butchers, post office, chemist and servo, all with very friendly staff. We are a ten minute drive from the main shopping centre, Eastlands. There is a bus stop at the end of our road (5min walk) that has frequent buses to Eastlands, CBD and Glenorchy.
