Room with a view. Self contained luxury flat in the heart of rural Worcestershire, but within easy reach of Worcester, Malvern & Stourport on Severn. Come and unwind in this beautiful part of the country. On arrival, sit on the balcony, enjoy the stunning views, whilst enjoying a local ale or a hot drink with home baked cake (if the weather is inclement the view from the Breakfast Bar is equally special). The private flat, sleeps 2, with shower, toilet & bidet. Breakfast is also provided. Breakfast is self-service - cereals; free range eggs from 'Princess Peck' and our other ex-battery rescue chickens; home made bread (or toast) & home made jams; with unlimited tea & coffee. There is also a microwave. In the summer months a gazebo and a gas B-B-Q are available on request. The flat has twin beds, which can be turned into a double on request - don't worry about the gap - a special bolster deals with that issue! There is a DVD/TV which can be angled towards the bed or the sofa. The bathroom has a shower, toilet & bidet - with complimentary toiletries. Ali lives in the house adjacent to the flat and is often around collecting eggs or mucking out horses, if you need advice on pubs, walks or places of interest. When she is away her son, Mike, will be on hand to answer any questions. There is also a key safe, so that you don't have to stress about arrival time or late arrivals. The flat is above the detached double garage, at the end of a private drive. There are only 2 neighbouring properties and as can be seen from the photographs only distant farm houses can be seen from balcony. A footpath takes you to Monkwood Green, itself is a site of special scientic interest and from there it is just a short stroll to the 'Fox Inn' - an extremely interesting country pub. The Fox does not serve food, but many of the local country pubs do fine food. There is also a Thai restaurant nearby, which will also delivers to the property. The City of Worcester is only a fifteen minute drive away with all the amenties you may desire. Worcester is a great place to visit with riverside walks along the River Severn, the imposing Cathedral, the historic Commandery & Diglis Basin - the start of the Worcester to Birmingham canal. For the sports fans Worcester has Premiership Rugby, County Cricket & a historic Race Course, plus numerous golf courses. Closer to the property is English Heritage's Witley Court, with its house, gardens, Baroque church, woodlands & tea room. There are numerous walks from the property or you can borrow our tandem and get further afield on quiet country roads. The property has ample free parking, but for those who aren't driving the property is a short taxi ride from the Worcester stations. If you fancy a car free night in Worcester there is a local bus at 3.41pm (but you will have to get a taxi back!! it returns at 8.30am) And, of course, there is always the tandem!!
