Scandi-style Boutique Apartment near Walks & Pubs

With views to the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, our peaceful self-contained studio apartment is located in the Chiltern Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right next to the Ridgeway Trail. Light and airy, the space has been renovated to modern Scandi style with luxury touches. The area offers lovely walks, great restaurants and cosy country pubs (nearest 5 min walk). If you come by train from London, we are walking distance from the station (as well as supermarkets). Due to the Covid, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize between reservations. In addition, the apartment is left empty for a minimum of 24 hours between bookings. The apartment is part of a substantial 1920’s country house but completely separate and private with its own entrance. It comes with a decked patio area exclusively for our Airbnb guests. The interior has been fully renovated to a high, Scandinavian style specification. The accommodation consists of one large room with a high ceiling, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. It’s designed for a couple but a single bed is available for an additional guest. It has a king size bed with a double duvet. Single bed is also available on request if you prefer to sleep in separate beds (let me know when you book). There is also a small glass table with chairs, vintage divan, hanging storage, shelving, Smart TV with e.g. Netflix, WiFi and black-out blinds in the room. The bathroom is fitted with a shower enclosure, towels, hair dryer and organic shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap. Designed for short stays, the kitchenette is ideal for preparing simple meals. It’s equipped with a fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, kettle, portable boiling ring/hot plate, frying pan, saucepan and other essential kitchenware. You will find complimentary breakfast provisions in the kitchen including a selection of breakfast cereals, milk, bread, butter, jam, marmalade, fresh juice, instant coffee and tea. Please note that the provisions won’t be replenished during your stay but there’s enough breakfast for 1-2 days and plenty of coffee, tea and breakfast cereals. Earlier check in times can be arranged the majority of the time. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate children under the age of 12, pets or smokers. With a private entrance and own key, you’ll have full access to the apartment, en-suite, small balcony and a private decked patio area with table and chairs. The apartment is yours to enjoy in peace during your booking. We respect your privacy but I’m always happy to assist you should you need anything during your stay. You can contact me on Airbnb messenger if you have any questions. Whiteleaf is a beautiful, quiet hamlet in the Chiltern Hills. It’s a famous destination for walkers (The Ridgeway path is only a few minute walk from us), cyclists, golf players and anyone enjoying spending time in the nature. Whiteleaf Cross, a chalk hill-figure at the top of Whiteleaf Hill has dominated the local landscape for several centuries. Offering amazing panoramic views, it’s a spectacular picnic spot. If you come by car, we recommend visiting Waddesdon Manor, one of the most magnificent National Trust properties in England. Walking distance from several country pubs, 9-hole golf course and the restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and specialist shops of historic market town Princes Risborough, we hope you’ll find it the perfect place for a relaxing break in the countryside. Monks Risborough Station is our nearest railway station at 1 mile distance (20 minute walk) with connections to London, Oxford and Birmingham. Princes Risborough Station operates more frequent and faster train service. It’s 2 miles away (40 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by taxi). For train timetables, please go to Chiltern Railways. If you come by car, we have a large drive that can accommodate up to 3 visitor cars. The entrance to the apartment is at the back of the house. You will have to climb several steps to get to the door and there are no handrails. Therefore the apartment is not suitable for small kids or anyone with mobility issues. Please take care on the steps. Please note if you are big and tall, the doorway to the bathroom is 174 cm (5’7) high and the opening to the shower enclosure 53 cm (1’7) wide. If you bring any bicycles with you, they can be safely stored in our back garden behind a lockable gate. Please be advised, storing bicycles on our property is done so at your own risk.
