The stunning rural area of Bowden, near Strete is a couple of miles from the beautiful Blackpool Sands beach. This area of outstanding natural beauty is just the perfect place to experience the very best that South Devon has to offer. The Royal naval town of Dartmouth is a firm favourite with visitors and offers boutique shops, fabulous restaurants and the most incredible coastal views. There is something for everyone in this popular tourist town. You will require a car, however once you reach the nearby village of Strete, you can park up and get the number 3 bus to Dartmouth or via Slapton and the villages through to Kingsbridge. This bus goes all the way to Plymouth. You can also get a ferry from Dartmouth to Kingsbridge and to Salcombe, another wonderful coastal town known for it's high end shops and restaurants. There are several places to hire a boat, paddle boards and surf boards. Just ask and I'll give you recommendations. We cater for babies so please ask us for equipment you might need. We have travel cots, high chairs and even a baby bath! We also have a tennis court which you can book with the owner, rackets & balls provided.
