One or two rooms in a bush retreat near Warkworth

We would love to welcome you to our spacious home close to Kourawhero Lodge, Mahurangi College and Warkworth town. From the house and extensive lawns enjoy awesome views over the bush, out toward the coast and Kawau Island. Try a easy walk to our fallen Pururi tree. Nearby all the attractions of the Matakana Wine Coast with its many beautiful beaches, art trails, restaurants, golf courses, local markets and gyms. Settle into and enjoy our rural lifestyle whilst staying digitally connected. At 135M elevation the property is set in 55 acres of Podocarp bush and is not overlooked. Guests will experience peace and tranquility and enjoy stunning views out to Kawau Island - a far cry from the normal workaday city world. There is an easy access walking track and much more for the more experienced trampers. We have a fully equipped shared kitchen and offer morning complimentary coffee or tea, in bed on request. We have a Wi Fi TV in the lounge which can be moved into one of the bedrooms if required. We also have an exercise bicycle and a pool table for adult guest use. Unpasteurized simply harvested Manuka honey is available on request. Our property is available to Airbnb guests only - no Airbnb guest are allowed to invite others to the property for a variety of reasons. One Queen double bed can accommodate a couple in a large bedroom and a second bedroom with up to three beds is also available for up to five guests in total. Each bedroom shares a separate entrance and bathroom with toilet and shower and use of a washing machine on request for guests staying several nights. Please note: Guests are also welcome to use the kitchen and lounge, which is shared with the host. A shelf in the refrigerator is also available for guests. A chest freezer is also available. The second bedroom available for an extra charge, with two separate single beds (one of which also has a roll out third, trundler, bed) and business facilities - a desk and PC for guest use. This space is ideal for business travelers. If you are a party of two but want to use both bedrooms please select the 3 guest option when booking. Guests can choose which bedroom to use as we will not be renting the spaces to more than one party at a time. By prior arrangement picnic packs are available for those wishing to spend some time in the bush. Suitable footwear and leggings are important. We will take you to visit our sheep and chickens and can offer introductory courses on Bee Keeping. A rural street with friendly helpful neighbours an elevated position and largely self sufficient life style. There are buses from Auckland to Warkworth. We can arrange a pickup from the bus terminal in downtown Warkworth for an additional fee of $10 each way. The property is available by arrangement, for $350 per night - for exclusive use by guests. When used exclusively there is an extra large separate double bedroom and another small double bedroom giving accommodation for eight adult guests. A security deposit of $1000 is required for this option.
