Adorable 1-bedroom modern guest annex

'Poppy Annex' is a newly renovated one bedroom annex which is attached to our beautiful bungalow in the picturesque village of Wellow in Nottinghamshire. There is a completely separate entrance to the annex so you have all the privacy you need. Upon arriving at 'Poppy Annex', there are two outdoor steps to gain access to the property. 'Poppy Annex' is bookable for a maximum of two guests, providing a spacious and modern environment for you to sit back and enjoy the nature around you. Renovated to an extremely high standard in 2021, 'Poppy Annex' boasts stunning views from the property. You are able to fully open the dining area windows so you are able to feel like you are dining alfresco, but from the comfort of indoors. 'Poppy Annex' overlooks fields opposite where you can regularly see a local family of deer grazing alongside lots more wildlife. The property includes all the comforts of your own home, essentially becoming a home away from home. The annex is open plan, consisting of a living room where you can relax on a leather sofa in front of a 43" LG Smart HD TV, or put your feet up whilst enjoying a good book. There are also large French doors for those warmer days. The bedroom includes a double bed with hotel quality pillows & duvet, there has been no expense spared with 'Dorma' bedding to ensure the best nights sleep. There is also a wardrobe and dressing table which includes a standard mirror, a magnified mirror as well as a ring light providing the perfect lighting whilst getting ready. Hairdryer included. The bathroom is a large wetroom consisting of a comfort toilet, sink, shower and very large mirror with plenty of space for toiletries etc. Towels are included (bath sheets, hand towels & flannels) The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven & hob (there is no mains gas in Wellow), a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster & Tassimo coffee machine (pods included). Good quality pans and baking sheets are provided along with a full Denby dining set and Lakeland cutlery. The dining area includes an oak dining table and two chairs. You are able to fully open the windows allowing you to feel like you are alfresco whilst enjoying the comforts of being indoors. A welcome pack is also provided consisting of a loaf of bread, eggs, milk and tea & coffee. Guests will have access to the entire of the annex, along with off road parking on a driveway located in front of the annex which is suitable for multiple cars. There is a small outdoor area for you to enjoy with artificial grass and a table & chairs. Upon arriving at the property, you will be able to find the keys within a lockbox giving you all the privacy you require, yet as the annex is located within our own property, we are on hand should you need us. 'Poppy Annex' is located in the picturesque village of Wellow which boasts a village green with a permanent maypole and two friendly village pubs, The Red Lion, serving delicious home cooked food and real ales, and The Maypole bar and bistro, serving delicious cooked breakfasts, coffee, cocktails and gourmet meals. Only a short distance from Sherwood Pines, Rufford Abbey, Thoresby Hall, Newstead Abbey, Clumber Park and Center Parcs, making 'Poppy Annex' the ideal base for exploring everything the area has to offer. Sherwood Forest is renowned for walking and cycling. There are two supermarkets two miles away in New Ollerton. We live on the premises and are available should you want/need us. However we appreciate sometimes people just want to be left alone to enjoy their break 'Poppy Annex' is located in the picturesque village of Wellow which boasts a village green with a permanent maypole which the children dance around at the end of May each year when we crown our May Queen. There are two friendly village pubs, The Red Lion, serving delicious home cooked food and real ales, and The Maypole bar and bistro, serving delicious cooked breakfasts, coffee, cocktails and gourmet meals. A car is the best way to get around but a cycle is also a good way to get around as we are near so many beautiful places like Sherwood Forest with Robin Hoods tree in Edwinstowe, Sherwood Pines with excellent cycle tracks, Go Ape, Hire Segways plus a cafe. Rufford Park with the beautiful Abbey & Gardens , Center Parcs , Sherwood Castle Park. Our beautiful bungalow is located on the A616 so there may be some traffic noise. We don’t take pets yet we do have a small dog ourselves who lives in the main bungalow but isn’t allowed in the annex at all. When travelling to the annex, please do not use Apple maps as this will take you to the wrong location.
