Come stay in our beautifully renovated 1-Bedroom "garden" cottage with spectacular views of Jerome, Cleopatra Hill and the Black Mountain Range. This special home was featured on the Do-It-Yourself Network's "Boomtown Builders" show ("The Dentist's House), enjoy all the beautiful details tv host - master craftsman, Tim McClellan, and his crew created and installed, such as the dreamy headboard and nightstand made of reclaimed timbers, the hand-forged stove hood & electrified cutting board. A beautifully renovated cook's kitchen, with 5-burner oven, hand-forged hood, double-fridge, dish-washer and ample counter space to work from. Beautifully renovated bathroom with it's original claw-footed tub and gorgeous Kohler fixtures and stunning views of the open mountainside. Filled with antique-vintage furniture and finishes. Unique and stunning views from each room in the apartment. Private patio with access to the property's main garden. We are always available if there is an issue and you will often find us on the front porch of our home in the evenings during the Spring, Summer and Fall months. Jerome is a truly special place. It was a former copper mining town incorporated in 1876, and is precariously perched one mile high on Cleopatra Hill with some of the most spectacular canyon and mountain views outside of the Grand Canyon. Absolutely stunning views of Oak Creek Canyon, colorful Sedona, breath-taking Sycamore Canyon and the entire Verde Valley from Cottonwood up to Flagstaff and its San Francisco Peaks. Shrinking from a peak population of app 15,000 in the late 1920's to 50 hearty souls by the late 1950's, Jerome almost vanished if it were not for artists and "hippies" who came to its rescue in the 1960's and 1970's. Today, Jerome is mainly an artist-retirement-adult adventure community of app 450 unique souls with over 1.5 million visitors annually. Today we house 25+ galleries, over 15 restaurants and wine bars, 2 vintage saloons and numerous one of a kind shops like Nellie Bly's Kaleidoscopes & Glass Art, Pura Vida Gallery, Pusicfer, Papillion & Raku. You'll need a car to get here but then you'll need good, comfortable shoes to transverse some of the most charming streets and open country-side views that will knock the air out of you! Jerome is 28 miles south of Sedona, 2 hours north of Phoenix (Sky Harbor Airport) and 80 mins south of Flagstaff.
