Down Farm is close to "Heaven in Devon". An idyllic 53 acre organic estate in the heart of the North Devon countryside providing self catering holidays in an amazing setting for Families of all sizes, You will love it here, a real "Memory-Making Experience", that's why we called our business Love North Devon Holidays. It is great for couples, families (with or without kids), friend groups, organised get together s or family celebrations. You don't just rent a cottage here ! x We are conveniently sited on the edge of Exmoor in North Devon and are completely surrounded by lush Devonshire countryside. Our valley borders with Exmoor National Park and contains an amazing variety of landscapes within its 267 square miles. Within a 10 mile radius of Down Farm, you can experience not just Exmoor’s beautiful moorland, but its majestic woodlands, its rolling valleys, its quaint thatched villages, rugged coastline and timeless traditional farmland, all shaped by people and nature over thousands of years. Our holiday’s can be let week to week commencing on a Monday or Friday, Midweek Breaks & Weekend Breaks. During high season we only let Friday to Friday weekly lettings. We are also perfect to combine the properties to enable larger groups visiting, or contact us about a couples only rates out of high season. Smaller groups wishing to hold an intimate celebration are also very welcome. Love North Devon Holidays are owned and run by myself, Amanda, my husband, Adrian along with the help of our sons Lewis and Frazer. I love the day to day work that Love North Devon Holidays provides meeting and greeting lovely new families, and sharing our little piece of “Heaven in Devon”. I am a home bird at heart, and I like nothing more than pottering around in the house or garden, planning interiors, painting, and looking for a bargain on ebay. I love all things local and independent, I support a number of local charities, am a member of many local clubs and I am currently establishing the Intimate Wedding Service at Down Farm. Living and working from home, also gives me the opportunity to help Adrian with his business, the Cast Iron Air Brick Company. To relax we like to go on city breaks, to get our “City Fix”, but it is always nice to return to the Farm. X Adrian is a retired Royal Navy Artificer Engineer. He enjoys many hobbies, including collecting and Restoring British motorbikes, running a market stall selling Vinyl records and gardening on his vegetable patch. Lewis is 21 and loves football, he wants to be a journalist or a Sailor, he cannot quite decide, but for now he writes lots of blogs mainly on non league football, Punk music and his beloved Grimsby Town. Frazer who is 19 also likes football, Motor Cross Racing and is a keen Sailor. Both the boys are in the Navy Sea Cadets and are the friendliest kids you could wish to meet, always happy to show the guests and their families around the farm. We have 6 cats, 8 hens, 12 Muscovy ducks and over 100 sheep and lambs on the farm. Nestled in a South facing Organic valley on the edge of Exmoor, Love North Devon Holidays have two self-catering holiday homes on our 53 Acre parkland Estate. We are just a few miles from North Devon’s award winning beaches, Picturesque fishing villages and dozens of hidden gems. Just minutes from the A399, it is very accessible to get to, while the secluded setting means guests get away from the hoards in summer and find some tranquillity. With every consideration thought of, there are places to celebrate together for a big meal or family celebration and cosy places to get away with a book. Recently renovated to be as sustainable and as energy efficient as possible, Love North Devon Holidays is the thinking person’s holiday retreat. The beautiful interiors, scenery, bespoke services and nearby attractions all combine into a magical blend - so magical in fact, you may think this is “Heaven in Devon”... xOur Neighbourhood consists of 3 farms, all in an organic valley in North Devon. We are a siyuated in the hamlet of Little Bray, sandwiched between the villages of Brayford and Bratton Fleming. We have no convenience shops within walking distance, but do have within a 3 mile radius 2 local pubs that serve food, a corner shop and a visiting fish and chip van. We are idyllically remote, but within easy reach of an A road and many tourist attractions. Our Neighbourhood consists of 3 farms, all in an organic valley in North Devon. We own and run a light Engineering company from the Farm, away from the Holiday Properties, and from time to time we have deliveries. We are always conscious of our guests safety, but do ask that young children are always supervised when out playing.
