The blue house on the dock

The blue house is a two bedroom and one kitchen/livingroom traditional villa for up to six persons, with veranda around, backyard and big garden/olive tree area. The main advantage of the house is its location, literally surrounded by the sea, 10 meters from the small beach and 20 from the dock, and the fantastic, unique, unobstructed view to the Aegean sea, actually the best in that village, so it offers spectacular views and sunsets from our terraces. The house is located on front of the vilage’s dock, 10 meters from the small –like privet- beach and 80 meters from “Four Seasons” hotel/restaurant/cafeteria and fully organized beach (Umbrellas/breakfast/coffee/snacks/sea side bar for the night time). It is independent, clean, fully equipped and offers to our guests luxury and privacy. It is recommended for biger or smaller family, couples and any kind of friend companies. Also ideal for couples who want to enjoy the Honey moon days. It’s a place to relax, enjoy the view, swim in the crystal clear sea, that offers walks throughout the island, excursions by boat around the island and a choice of restaurants, bars and cafes to cater for most tastes. Hydra, an island where cars and motorcycles are not allowed and therefore not available, and where logistics are made by donkeys and mainly by sea, is a rare combination of serenity and relaxation with cosmopolitan life, depending on the visitors choices. It’s also known for the excellent food and the fresh fish, and the several gourmet restaurants. We also co-operate with Νησω Υδρα sea-taxi in order to facilitate your transportation. How to get there: Transportation by the local boat (from and to the above mentioned dock- 20 meters from the house) every 1/2 H from 08:30 to 20.30H per ticket. Or, 24H sea taxi from anywhere to anywhere. Hydra town offers a cosmopolitan night-life with plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of Plakes Vlichou with the opportunity to unwind and enjoy the simple, stress-free lifestyle. Plakes is a very beautiful small village of more or less 30 traditional houses, located at the west side of Hydra island, 3km from the port and 0.5 km from Vlychos village. There is restaurant, cafeteria and organised beach bar nearby the house (70-80 meters). Accessibility by boat or sea-taxi , time needed 4-5 min. It's also accessible by foot in about 1/2 H, via the super beautiful main path that connects the port with the villages of the island.
