Breakfast is included! Le Shed, in Somerset, is a unique bolt hole for a couple or single to get away from it all, nestled within our garden in the valley of the river Frome. The space is a converted coal and tool shed. Dating in origin to 1913 Le Shed is a unique self contained bolt hole for a couple or single to get away from it all. Set in our garden nestled in the valley of the river Frome in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Your private shower and Loo are a mere twenty paces from Le Shed, again in a couple of adapted outhouses. An umbrella, slip on out doorshoes and bath robes are all included for your comfort during your stay. Le Shed has a equipped kitchenette for your use and a full English of Somerset foods for your cooking, also a patio area and a separate area of lawn with a mature apple tree for shade. You can chill out in the hammock on the Apple tree or warm by the fire on the patio or toast marshmallows on the cosy Woodburner if the weather is cold! You can have maximum privacy if wished. However Jane is happy to chat if you need any further information just knock the back door knocker or message. Our property is in the old part of the Mendip mining village of Coleford, Somerset, with a huge network of local walks to lovely country pubs. You can borrow maps and walking tour books. The village has a local Co op shop and post office at the top of the village. There is a local traditional somerset pub serving local cider where a pint can be enjoyed in the beer garden, (cash only.) We also have a doctors surgery should the need arise. we recommend you come by car, or bike, though there are train stations at Bath and Frome or the coach to Wells, and local taxis service. Frome is a short journey by car (5 miles) the popular village of Mells, and the old coaching inn of the Talbot is three miles away. We are situated on the edge of the Mendip hills with Bath, and Wells and Cheddar all within half an hours drive. We are a mere 5 minutes from Vobster Quay diving and swimming lake, and the private members Babbington House. Our local pub is a drinks only pub with cash only, but if you fancy a drop of cider it's there in a 2 mins walk away. There are other pubs that you can walk out to for food also. What ever your break be it winter, spring, summer or Autumn there are beautiful walks directly from Le Shed or Spa breaks at Longleat or Bath or shopping trips in particular the Frome Independent (first Sunday of the month except January and February) or the stunning Bath Christmas Market. Don't worry about the weather, Le Shed is toasty what ever the weather.
