Ophelia's Creek Cottage in Taralga Village

Relax and enjoy a little taste of country in the Historic Town of Taralga. We love our 3 bedroom home, which we have fully renovated inside and outside, and decorated with new furniture, mattresses and linens. It is located right in town, and overlooks acreage. Taralga is less than half an hour from Goulburn, 2 1/2 hours from Sydney or 1 1/2 hours from Canberra. The house is in the historic town of Taralga, on a large 1 acre block with 3 separate garden areas. There is disability access, and dogs are welcome in the yard and mudroom (Please no dogs in the house as everything (including all furniture and mattresses) are new. There are 3-bedrooms: 1 King (2 King Single) bedroom, 1 Queen bedroom, and 1 Bunk bedroom. Relax and enjoy the view of the garden and hills in the spacious north facing sunroom which runs the length of the house, or sit cosy in front of the fireplace in the living room during winter. There is a mudroom with separate toilet, and the new bathroom has separate shower+toilet, plus additional separate toilet. There are plenty of toys, and space, for children to play inside and outside. You will have the entire house to yourselves. If you enjoy animals, the small team of hand-raised sheep/lambs can be let into the gardens to 'mow' the grass. Please leave all gates closed so the animals do not escape. We visit Taralga whenever we can, and I am available by phone or email. When I am not available in person or quickly by phone/email, my sister lives in town and will be able to help you out. Taralga is an historic town between Goulburn and Wombeyan Caves. The renowned Argyle Inn is a short walk away, along with tasty new eateries such as the Ploughman Cafe. Enjoy the Taralga Wildlife Park or explore the Taralga Museum. Take a Taralga Heritage Walking Tour, or head out to explore the Wombeyan Caves and swim in its canyons. You will need car to get around to the nearby towns and sites. When in town, everything is a quick walk away. Guests will be charged an additional fee for any additional cleaning required. If you bring your fur baby, please note they should stay in the backyard or in the mudroom at the back of the house (we have dog beds for them), and must not be left unattended if you leave the house.
