Private self-contained loft suite above domestic garage in pretty rural village on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Sleeps 2 people. The super king size bed can be split into twin beds if desired. Ensuite bathroom includes shower, toilet and basin. The kitchen area contains sink, microwave and mini fridge, with a spectacular window view of Ingleborough. Teas,coffee & milk are provided. Dining table and chairs. The spacious balcony allows guests to relax and enjoy the views of the garden. A cosy home from home in a private, peaceful location with lovely views. Tucked away, only 25 minutes off the M6 motorway, this delightful rural village is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, whilst also close to the county borders of both Lancashire and Cumbria. This area of outstanding natural beauty is popular for cavers, cyclists and walkers wishing to explore The Three Peaks, with Ingleborough and the Ingleton waterfalls walk located just 3 miles away. The stunning scenery of the Lake District can also be reached in approximately (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes by car. The small, inviting market towns of Kirkby Lonsdale, Sedbergh and Settle also lie close by, with much to offer including independent shops, quaint cafés and cobbled streets. Friendly and approachable hosts, Teena and Malcolm live on site and are able to greet guests on arrival most of the time. If occasionally this is not possible, details will be sent to the guest (within 24 hours of the stay) of how to access the property. PARKING Please do not drive in from the street due to limited space on the drive and shared access of drive with neighbours. On street parking available, it is a very short walk to the property - less than 1 minute. Areas with cobbles are privately owned. Please do NOT park on our neighbour's property. Our property starts at the wrought iron gates marked Tatham Lodge. Ample further parking is available opposite the recreation field if needed, especially if your vehicle is large. The car park is down the steep hill ( Chapel Lane), over the bridge, turn left and parking is just past the Community orchard on the left opposite the playground. This is a beautiful 7 minutes walk. Please note access to The Loft is via steps with handrail. Balcony may be slippery in wet weather No dogs No smoking or candles please. Quiet countryside village with pub and thriving community run shop/post office. Riverside picnic area, woodland walks, outdoor exercise equipment for adults Our local pub The Punch Bowl is only a few steps from the Loft. It is friendly and welcoming. Good food,local ales and a large selection of gins are served. Quiz nights every fortnight on a Wednesday. As the pub is very popular it is wise to book for a table especially on a Friday or Saturday evening.The Punch Bowl is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. You may wish to shop for food before you get here if you do not want to go out again the first night or organise a supermarket delivery as the village shop will be closed if you arrive later.
