Penylan farmhouse is part of a large Georgian Grade 2* listed house built in the late 18th century on the wooded slopes rising above the Vyrnwy river valley in Montgomeryshire, Mid Wales. The views from the house stretch across the valley over the river to Meifod village and the hills of mid Wales. Penylan Farmhouse sleeps any number up to 12 people in 6 double bedrooms. There is a fully equiped kitchen for cooking and eating great meals in with a large oak dining table with 12 chairs. Adjoining the kitchen is a comfy sitting room with a smart TV, DVD player & wifi, an open log fire and sofas In the farm buildings we have a great room with a pool table and table tennis table for you to use In our yard we have a great barn with a pool table and a table tennis table. The village pub had a massive refurb a few years ago and it is great and within 10 minutes walking distance from Penylan. Some weekends there are gigs on in Penylan Studios which are great fun so ask us if there's anything on during your stay. Any info wanted for walks and visits around the area just ask, there are road walks or hill and woodland walks all straight out the door! We are sure you will love our valley as we do and have a great time here. Wales is a country of castles! We're really lucky to have the fantastic Powis Castle just 15 minutes away and many more not much further. We're in the middle of the countryside in Mid Wales by a small village but with only a 15 minute drive you can be in Welshpool and find lots of supermarkets and shops etc. There is bus service and trains so easy access from pretty much anywhere and if you don't have a car we can pick you up or get you taxi info. If you want collecting from train stations or Manchester, liverpool and Birmingham airports we can easily arrange this, just get in touch. If you want to turn up and check in late at night this is ok but we must know beforehand. Later in the day checkouts are also possible but please check with us first to make sure. Main thing is just ask!
