River side Cottage in Traditional Welsh Village

Located in Beautiful West Wales in the friendly village of LLandysul. Situated right in the heart of this traditional Welsh village on the River Teifi with fishing rights right from river bank. A cute @1890 terraced rustic cottage with lots of charm and character including Log burning stove, Beams and exposed stone. There is a king size en-suite and a bunk bed room (ideal for children), also option for comfy sofa bed on ground floor where you'll find a 2nd bathroom. Can sleep 6 if requested. Lovely cute cottage in friendly traditional welsh village. The cottage was built about 1890 with lots of charm and characteristics such as log burner stove , beams and exposed wall. The cottage is spread over 3 floors, entering on middle floor from the lane. Top floor has 2 bedrooms, one king size with shower en-suite and one bunk bed room ( suited to children) we also have travel cot/ baby change/ stair gate available on request. Large but cosy lounge in middle floor with log burning stove and booking comes with a bag of logs and kindling. There is TV with free sat, WiFi and book swap library in here. Down the exposed wall staircase to the ground floor. Kitchen with small table, large fridge freezer. Small laundry area with washing machine ( no tumbler dryer). Quaint bathroom with shower over bath. Large extension with big reclaimed wood dining table, sofa bed for extra guests ( max 6 in cottage inc 2 children in bunk beds) and double French doors to garden . Small gravel garden with chairs and table with use of BBQ and fire pit. Rear gate to private path . Cottage has own riverbank but it is very natural and involves uneven steps. The river level varies throughout the year and sometimes in the winter this bank is not accessible. Full access! Check in is mainly via keysafe access, sometimes I am able to check you in personally. We live about 45 minutes away should there be an emergency. We like guests to make the cottage their own for their stay Lovely village with great amenities. We have 3 pubs, 2 cafes, various takeaways. There are gift shops, a florist, butchers (amazing meat!!), vintage and book shop, a brick a brac and seamstress There is a small supermarket with own butchers and bakery (10 min walk) and a spa opening late (5 min walk) There are lots of walks right from the cottage , with river walks, old railway track walks and beautiful woodland ( look out for the fairies and pixies) West wales is absolutely beautiful and the Ceredigion coast with beautiful beaches and coves are between 20-30 minutes away. Carmarthen is 25 mins, the little university town of Lampeter is 20minutes and Cardigan 30 minutes. Local quaint town of Newcastle Emlyn is 15 minutes and further on are Cenarth Falls. If you have young children the Teifi railway is in the next village and worth a trip, run by volunteers there is a steam train as well as a ride on train through pixie land! An old fashioned fun filled day out with soft play, outdoor play area, crazy golf and quoits. The Cottage is right on the river Teifi and comes with fishing rights. But plenty of angling in the area ( permission needed and rod licence can be bought at The Porth pub) There is a big kayak and canoe centre in the village and they run various river based activities. They also have a big lake where you can use boat and kit for the whole day for £10 great value. Note: I have a paddle board that can be hired on request for small fee. There are great places and calm waters further down stream that is perfect for paddle boarding. There are buses to Aberystwyth, Carmarthen but these are not overly frequent. The nearest train station is Carmarthen (25 mins away). I would recommend a car to navigate around west wales and all it has to offer There is one parking space right outside the cottage with more parking further down the lane. We do ask that outside noise is kept to a minimum after 10pm and guests are considerate to my lovely neighbours . We are dog friendly and have a cockapoo ourselves. But ask that you keep them away from carpeted top floor- bedrooms and off sofas. There are dog bowls, towels, poop bags and treats in the cottage.
