This self-catering country house located on the Douro River bank and is in the heart of the Douro Valley. The property is set in a peaceful private location, enjoys plenty of natural light and sun exposure throughout the day and has a unique and privileged view of the river and mountains from all windows of the house. In addition to the harmonious landscape of the region, from all the house windows you can appreciate the unique and privileged view of the Douro River and see the typical Rabelo boats / Douro boat cruises, which are one of the main tourist attractions of the region traveling on the Douro River from Oporto to Régua, Pinhão or Barca d'Alva navigate directly in front of the house before entering into the Carrapetelo dam which is located 15 min away. This is the perfect private place for nature lovers to enjoy alone, with the family/friends who want be embraced by the Douro River and mountains which transfers harmony, tranquility and relaxation away from the city. It is very advisable to have a car for this property. Please check directions and route before arrival date (I will send you GPS map directions etc:-). Please note that the best way to reach the house is to park the car on the road and then walk 100 meters down a narrow cobblestone rural road. It is advisable to have a car for this property, since it is located close to the douro river and has reduced public transportation, The house is not suitable for animals and people with reduced mobility.
