Slowly but Shirley Suite is completely private with a separate entrance from the main home. It has it's own outdoor seating area, and infrared sauna to unwind in after a long day of hiking, surfing and beach combing! The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and a dining area. Private bathroom with eco-friendly products for use, queen sized bed in private bedroom and double pull-out couch in living room which is ideal for one adult but can accommodate two children. Large rural property, creek and fire pit area are shared with us, but you are free to explore and we will respect your privacy! My husband and I live on the property and are here to make your stay as comfortable and fun as possible! As outdoor enthusiasts and foodies, we would love to share our local knowledge and guidance of the area. We will also respect your privacy. Located 20 minutes West of Sooke and 10 minutes East of Jordan River, Shirley is a small community ideal for people who love nature. Nearby beaches include French Beach, China Beach, Sombrio, and Sandcut Beach. Hiking/Walking trails include The Juan de Fuca trail, and Sheringham Lighthouse loop. Enjoy brunch at the famous Shirley Delicious Cafe and dinner at Stoked Pizzeria or Point No Point. Short drive to three local breweries, Sheringham Distillery, Tugwell Creek Meadery, Foggy Mountain Forge Blacksmith and SaltWest Sea Salt Company. The nearest grocery store and gas station is in Sooke, so it is recommended to stock up on your way out. There is currently a large road improvement project occurring on the highway, so always plan for an extra 10-15 minutes of waiting in the construction when coming in and out of Sooke. No public transit, vehicle required. Note that we are located off the main road, so expect some road noise when outside.
