Perfect for vacation, staycation or work-from-home. Good things definitely come in small packages. Our studio cottage is newly built with an open, thoughtful design. Private bath, washer/dryer, full kitchen, hotel quality bedding, blazing fast wifi, 46"HDTV (many streaming services), private deck with nice lake view. Cozy, charming and stocked with everything you could want for a perfect vacation. 15 min to Providence, 40 to Newport. Amazing local restaurants. PLEASE NOTE: The cottage offers a VIEW of the lake. Due to property lines and zoning there is no direct access to the lake from the cottage property, but a small beach (Little Beach) is only a 5 min walk from the cottage. Little Beach offers up close viewing of the lake but there is no swimming or fishing on Little Beach. The cottage is a new construction, built from the ground up with a thoughtfully planned, open design. Our cottage is handicapped accessible, no stairs outside or in. Off street parking right outside the door and a coded lockbox allows super easy self check-in/check-out. Get connected by jumping on the blazing fast mesh network WiFi and the included high quality Bluetooth speaker to listen to your favorite tunes. Like it warmer or cooler? Use the remote control to set temperature on the efficient and quiet mini split HVAC unit. Use the fireplace remote control to set the brightness and color of the flames on the wall-mounted fireplace. The kitchen has lots of storage plus basics like spices, oils and condiments for any meal ingredients you bring. A toaster, microwave, teapot, and Keurig coffee maker (with complimentary coffee, cream and sweeteners) will make it feel like home in no time. Pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cups, mugs and wine glasses, what more could you ask for? There is even a couple of frosted beer glasses in the freezer. The private bathroom features a full size 36” shower with detachable shower head, extra towels, a hair dryer, body wash, conditioner, shampoo and a medicine cabinet with lots of toiletries and sundries. A stacked full size washer/dryer is free to use with complimentary detergent in case you need to run a load. A super comfortable Sealy double (ie. full size) bed with Tempur-Pedic topper, high quality hotel bedding and premium pillows will help make your sleep the most comfortable. Like to watch TV in bed? The 46” flatscreen ROKU TV with free local HD channels, FREE Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Sling and Disney+ is included. A stand-up wardrobe with a full length mirror, hangers, and a clothes iron will help you and your clothes look their best. The large windows face west, letting in afternoon light and offering a view of a landscaped yard. The windows also feature blackout curtains for those that like to sleep in and keep things dark. Go for a stroll around the neighborhood and stop by Little Beach at the end of the street to take in the lake view. Take another stroll at dinner time to Guiseppe’s Italian Bistro (incredible artisan pizza) or The Kountry Klam Shack (the only inland clam shack of it's kind - both just a short walk from the cottage. It started as an old summer lake house community and slowly became a full year residential neighborhood. Houses have been modernized and renovated over the years and the cottage is no exception. NOTE: due to property lines and zoning there is no direct access to the lake from the property, but take a 5 min walk to Little Beach (take a left out of the cottage, walk down Lakeview, bear left to Terrace and turn left at the end, keep going and the beach is on your right at the end of the street). Or take or a short drive to Slack's Beach (less than a mile). It’s all about location. Staying at the cottage is a perfect balance between urban proximity, suburban comforts, cottage serenity and country living. The neighborhood is residential, quiet and peaceful with very little traffic on Lakeview Drive. But close access to shopping, restaurants, colleges, the local library and proximity to Providence night life, combined with a quiet lake location and nearby apple orchards and farms make this an ideal home base for travelers, offering the best of all worlds. A 10 min drive will open up at least a dozen more excellent options from basic breakfast to local pubs to fine dine. There are menus in the cottage for many of these restaurants. Groceries can be purchased at Stop and Shop, Dave’s Market, IGA. The two large windows in the cottage face west to the front yard. The cottage does not offer a water view from within. There are no public boat launches on the lake. *** In light of the COVID-19 outbreak we want to assure our guests of our vigorous cleaning standards. All frequently touched surfaces (counters, doorknobs, switches, handles, toilets, remotes, etc) are cleaned with an EPA registered disinfectant. All linens and towels are washed in hot water.
