It is a 10 minute train ride into Liverpool and costs about £3 return. This is a great base for exploring Liverpool & the Wirral. You can park on the street for free. The centre of Birkenhead is easy walking distance and the train a couple of streets away is perfect for Liverpool, the Wirral & Chester.
