Lancaut lies in one of the four most important woodland areas in Britain, the site is very rich in wildlife with over 350 plant species recorded and a wide range of birds around the wood and south facing cliffs such as peregrine falcon and raven. Cormorant and heron frequent the river, and occasionally a seal will pop up in the river on a spring tide. A great place with stunning iconic views from the cliffs. At Lancaut Farmhouse, enjoy spacious rooms, interior-designed opulence and well established gardens and grounds extending over many acres to make this an idyllic country retreat. The house is perfect for getaways with family and friends. Lower Ground Floor: Ground Floor: Living room. Sitting room. Dining room. Kitchen: With electric cooker, Aga, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Separate toilet in the basement. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With king bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bedroom 2: With four-poster king bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bedroom 3: With four-poster king bed and en-suite with bath, shower cubicle, toilet and bidet. Bedroom 4: With twin beds and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Second Floor: Bedroom 5: With king bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle, bidet and toilet. Lancaut Farmhouse comprises a kitchen with electric Aga, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, microwave, leading to a large conservatory with a dining table and fabulous views of the river. There is also a formal dining room with double aspect, formal living room, basement toilet, sitting room with Smart TV and piano. The Farmhouse is suitable for families only with a maximum of 10 guests. Although the Farmhouse is for private exclusive hire, please note that the gardener & housekeeper live onsite in one of the barns. Guests will be given privacy throughout their stay, with the additional reassurance that someone is on-site should help be required. The main feature of this beautiful farmhouse is the exclusive location set within the Lancaut Nature Reserve, with an abundance of walking straight from your doorstep. Should you choose to venture out, the local area also has a huge amount to offer visitors. The beautiful Wye Valley offers canoeing and climbing, with easy access to the more rugged terrain of Wales and the Brecon Beacons. The Forest of Dean has fantastic cycling and walking too as well as several outdoor activity centres. There are a great variety of country pubs and top class restaurants offering excellent food, and we'll fill you in on the best spots around! To ensure our guests are provided with the best experience Lancaut Farmhouse is managed by Emma Nelson at White Feather Management. Emma will be available at all times to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. **Although the Farmhouse is for private exclusive hire, please note that the gardener & housekeeper live onsite in one of the barns. Guests will be given privacy throughout their stay, with the additional reassurance that someone is on-site should help be required. **A £500 deposit is held directly by the management company & is required to be transferred 1 week before arrival. **Strictly no parties or events. No Hens or Stags. No group gatherings. **Suitable for families only, with a maximum of 10 guests. **No Dogs due to the immediate farm animals on site. **Please note there are several unfenced ponds within the grounds, so the property is not suitable for children under the age of 8 (unless a disclaimer is signed).
