Beautiful Shepherd hut in rural Somerset

A cosy hand built shepherds hut located in the lovely Somerset Countryside . The Combe Down Shepherd resides in Combe Florey a pretty conservation village which is just 10 minutes drive from the beautiful Quantock Hills.A perfect base for cyclists & walkers alike. There is electricity in the hut along with a woodburner,double Bed ,single gas hob and outside is a bbq and small seating area.Logs and 1 bag of bbq coal provided. The hut is situated in its own part of our field with views of the Quantock Hills . Adjacent to the hut there is the bathroom which has a hot gas shower and camping toilet along with sofa and table and chairs. Parking is in the field if the weather allows otherwise there will be space on our drive.Whilst we are more than happy to provide bedding etc we would very much appreciate it if you could bring your own towels , shampoo etc .I provide fresh eggs from our chickens (as long as the girls are laying !) tea , coffee and milk for that all important first cup of tea or coffee , if you would like something other than semi skimmed please do let me know and I will do my best to provide . We may not always be around for check in but will not be far away if needed and always contactable by phone or text . We can make arrangements to be there for check in if a guest so wish. The hut is an ideal base for exploring Somerset which has many great places to visit .The West Somerset Railway is just a few minutes drive down the road at Bishops Lydeard, the steam train ambles its way through the countryside down to the seaside town of Minehead . We also have the fantastic Quantock Hills just 10 minutes away popular with both cyclists and walkers .Combe Florey itself also has its own village pub serving local ales, good food and many different varieties of gin !There are also numerous amenities in the neighbouring village of Bishops Lydeard just over a mile , including the Quantock Brewery , Farm Shop, paper shop , tea rooms , Butchers and local coop.
