Foix apartment garden/lovely views

We are just a short walk from the heart of Foix, a lively market town in the Pyrenees with medieval chateau, traditional market, restaurants & pavement cafes. We also have great hiking & biking trails from our door & fantastic roads for bike rides. We have 2 sunny ensuite bedrooms with beautiful views over the valley.Our rooms can be set up as doubles, twin or triple (with an additional bed being put in). There is also an open plan guests' living room/dining room and kitchen space. Outdoors we have a lovely 8m x 4m swimming pool (unheated) surrounded by wooden decking, open from late May - October (weather permitting), overlooking terraced garden and the surrounding countryside. The pool is gated, and suitable for children with a shallow end and steps leading down. We have plenty of garden furniture, including hammocks and loungers so that you can find a spot to relax with a book in peace and quiet. There’s also an outside kitchen and BBQ for your use. Ample parking beside house. Hiking and mountain bike trails are right on our doorstep, and we’re within easy access of a variety of sporting activities. If on holiday with a young family, there’s plenty around to keep everyone entertained. Come and stay if you're looking to explore, get active in the mountains, or simply relax by the pool. All levels including beginners welcome. Unfortunately we can no longer accept guest dogs as our cats have free roam of the garden. The cats also have access to our part of the house via the apartment and various cat flaps. All rooms central-heated in colder months and fans available in the summer. Foix train station (1hr from Toulouse) is only 1.5kms away and we're happy to pick people up. Toulouse Airport & Carcasonne are approx 75 mins away by car. Conditions Smoking only allowed outdoors Guests will have access to the pool and garden which has lots of outdoor seating plus a BBQ area. There is also an outdoor kitchen. Our family is generally around in our part of the house although the apartment is separate from ourselves. We have 2 dogs and 6 cats plus chickens in the garden. You're unlikely to meet the dogs however the cats access our part of the house through the apartment. The Ariege is a beautiful area of France and in particular our little corner of it. The town of Foix itself (1 km away) has buildings from the 12th century and the castle is stunning. Plus we have fantastic countryside with hiking/biking trails, skiing, climbing, canoeing etc right on our doorstep. Foix train station is at the bottom of our road, however it's a 20 min walk uphill and we're happy to pick people up. The nearest airports are Toulouse and Carcassonne, both of which are around 1 hour away. Corinne teaches regular yoga classes in our small private studio. The classes are taught on a drop-in basis and are open to all levels. The environment is particularly welcoming to first-timers.
