Cosy middle floor flat in a tranquil seaside location. The flat is ideal for an energetic couple wishing to explore the wonderful countryside and relax in the evening in front of the fire. At the middle of a traditional 3 storey Victorian family house dating back to (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) this wee flat has amazing views. There's ample parking and a large garden edging the sea loch, giving direct access to the shore by a wee slipway suitable for canoes, kayaks and small boats. The picturesque Crinan canal is easily accessible via steps on the opposite side of the road where the towpath is ideal for biking and walking. You can smell the sea and hear the oyster catchers, ducks and seabirds from the house or garden. The flat has a fitted kitchen with electric hob and oven, washing machine, fridge freezer etc. Bathroom has electric shower over bath and there's a pleasant lounge with a log burning stove. Electricity, logs and free wifi are available for guests. The wee slip leads down to the stony shore where the tide recedes for almost half a mile revealing expanses of sandy flats where you can dig for razor fish & cockles. Easy access for guests with canoes, kayaks or small boats. The Crinan Canal is right across the road from the house. The house is tranquil as it is set back from the road nearer the shore. The canal is excellent for anybody wishing to bike on the towpath which stretches from Ardrishaig (where there is a small interesting harbour basin and locks), to Crinan, where the locks open out to the Atlantic west coast. Lots to do in the area including walking, biking, water sports, etc. The bowling green and tennis courts are 5 mins walk from the house and the local indoor swimming pool at Lochgilphead is approx. 1 mile. Seaside House is situated about half way between Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig on the road to Campbeltown. Boat trips can be taken in the summer from Crinan and Ardfern including the exciting boat trip to The Corryvreckan whirlpool. Seaside is a great base for touring the west coast and the famous Mull of Kintyre on The Atlantic Coast. The Isles of Arran, Gigha, Islay (8 malt whisky distilleries) and Jura are nearby as is the colourful fishing village of Tarbert, Loch Fyne. The archaeological museum, the standing stones and ancient burial sites at Kilmartin are about 9 miles north, a must for those interested in ruined castles. In nearby Lochgilphead there are a selection of eateries and gift shops with quality goods. There is also a very good butcher in the main street in Lochgilphead as well as a large supermarket at the top of the town. For folk wishing to hire a bike or for a repair there is an excellent bike shop on the main street in Lochgilphead. My mum Anne or I will be at Seaside to welcome you when you arrive.
