The Cream Brick House

Our home is simple, neat, and organised. It's a home away from home. 'The Cream Brick House' is situated on the outskirts of Wangaratta (5km from CBD). Wangratta's rail trail bike track is right out the front door. A perfect home to relax for families, couples, or singles. Surrounded by gardens, fruit trees, and farm land. It has large court yard for a BBQ or entertaining. A large backyard - for a kick of football, cricket, or watching the natural surroundings. My home was built in 1965. At the time Wangaratta was miles away, you could just see the city lights. Now the town is just a few minutes away. The bike track is right out our front door. You can walk or ride into town. The Cream Brick House provides 3 bedrooms, queen, double and 2 single beds. Spacious kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, slow cooker, sandwich maker and rice cooker. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Large lounge room with TV and DVD player. Renovated bathroom with new shower sorry NO BATH (Shampoo, conditioner, soap and hand wash provided) . Bedrooms have extra pillows and blankets. Fully equipped Laundry washing machine, dryer and iron etc. Outside you have a courtyard area. Filled with a table setting, BBQ and lounge setting. It`s very peaceful looking out onto the farm. If you`re lucky you will see our chickens, sheep or cattle thru the fences. There`s plenty of area for parking. In front of garages or outback there`s a carport or even under the large trees. We have provided the following to make your stay enjoyable : Breakfast: Bread, Cereals, Fruit, Jams, Coffee & Tea. Plus a few extra surprises. Wangaratta is the heart of North East Victoria. It is a small city with over 20,000 people. We have many events: The Jazz Festival, ANA tennis tournament, ANA Cycling, New Years Rodeo and Ales on Ovens. We have beautiful parks Merriwa Park, King George Gardens and Apex Park, which are great for BBQ’s and the kid’s entertainment. In the surrounding area, there are many wineries from Rutherglen thru to King Valley Wines. Brown Brothers & Miranda Winery is just 10 minutes out of Wangaratta. Yarrawonga is only a 40 minute drive for a swim, ski or relax by the lake. Mt Buffalo is a 1 hour drive; it has beautiful walks and see the history of Mount Buffalo Chalet. Bright is a 1 hour drive, so scenic, peaceful, great brewery and cafe’s. Visit the famous Beechworth Bakery, Beechworth Brewery & Beechworth Honey just a 30 minutes drive. Glenrowan is 15 minutes down the freeway to Ned Kelly country. If you LOVE bike riding the Rail Trail can take you from Wangaratta to Bright. Travelling through many towns and pass many wineries, or perhaps a smaller ride from Wangaratta to Milawa passing thru Oxley. Visit Miranda Wines or King River Cafe; they are very popular at Oxley. At Milawa you not only have Brown Brother Wines, but you can also visit the Milawa Cheese Factory, Milawa Bread, Milawa Mustards or Gamze Smokehouse. There is so much to do in North East Victoria. Wine, food, water, ski fields, mountains, bike tracks and history are all here in the North East Victoria. Stay a few days or few weeks and enjoy our region.
