Situated on the North West coast of Anglesey, this period family home has an unrivaled, elevated sea view spanning from Holyhead Island to the Skerries lighthouse. In an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Moranedd is set in an extensive, enclosed garden. It takes just a few minutes to stroll down the lane to reach beautiful beaches, and to join the Anglesey Coastal Path route. Please check availability calendar carefully. During the summer months min stay is 7 nights with changeover on Sat. Built in 1900, Moranedd has been tastefully furnished and has retained many of its traditional features. Kitchen - the fully equipped country kitchen is reached via the Boot room. It has a traditional open fireplace, electric hob, double oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a large kitchen table and chairs. Outside on the patio is a family sized, bespoke picnic table which is ideal for morning coffee and lunches. Dining Room - the separate dining room has double aspect windows looking out towards the sea . It has a huge oak dining table and is ideal for family mealtimes. Living Room - includes, a wood burning stove, a smart TV, an adjoining children’s/quiet area and an extended sun-room. This sun-room has huge, high windows where you can watch the sea in warm comfort either on the rattan sofa and chairs or just lounging on the window seat. A sun-porch at the front of the house is an enclosed, secluded space, the ideal place to watch the sun setting at the end of the day. Ground floor bedroom - popular with our older guests, who prefer not to use the staircase, is the ground floor twin bedroom with French patio doors and an en-suite bathroom. First Floor - 4 spacious bedrooms: 2 king size bedrooms and 2 twin bed rooms all with amazing, uninterrupted rural views. There is also a family shower room. High speed WiFi throughout. A fenced in pond has recently been developed in the field adjoining the garden. A work in progress project, this will eventually become a wild flower meadow and a natural habitat for local wildlife. There is ample room for children to be able to explore, run freely and play ball games such as football or cricket. The driveway is large enough for several cars, boat-trailers etc. Please note that Moranedd is a pet free zone. No Stag/Hen parties (or similar) accepted. Lisa lives near by for further information/assistance during your stay. There are amazing local coastal walks along the rugged coastline. Church Bay is a short walk away for lovely refreshments at the Wavecrest Café or the Lobster Pot restaurant. A village shop is available in Llanfaethlu with further shops in nearby Cemaes Bay, Valley and Holyhead. A car is essential to get around the general area. It is great for mountain biking and hiking/walking. South Stack Lighthouse is within a short driving distance. PLEASE NOTE that the local Welsh COVID-19 regulations apply to any stay (including enforced cancellations). We will do our upmost to ensure that Moranedd is cleaned/sanitized between guests according to these regulations. There are amended arrival and departure times too: -> Earliest arrival time: 17:00 -> Latest departure time: 09:00 We hope that you will still enjoy your stay and respect the changes due to the current situation. It is beyond all our control - we're in it together - stay safe.
