Luxury barn conversion, Heritage Coast Wales

Abbey Farm Barn, offers a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom self-catered holiday home. The barn comprises 2 double bedrooms and a double sofa bed. A newly built Summer House is also available within the grounds of the house for a further two guests above 6 guests. The Barn has been recently converted from a chapel into a self contained unit which adjoins the main (Website hidden by Airbnb) has been finished to a very high standard and is tastefully furnished.The Barn has been fitted with underfloor heating, travertine bathroom and wetroom, oak floors and fittings. On the ground floor, the layout is open plan and comprises a wetroom with shower and wc, a well equipped kitchen (with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and microwave), sitting area and lounge with wall hung flat Sky tv. The lounge has two sofas, a double sofa bed can be provided for additional guests on request. Upstairs comprises a bathroom with wc, bath shower, and two bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys spectacular views across the garden, open countryside and surrounding Ewenny woods which opens onto a spacious balcony with outdoor furniture. A travel cot is available for guests if required. The newly built summer house offers a double sofa bed, gas fire, tv, fridge, tea making facilities. The triple bifolding doors opens out onto a decking area with table and chairs. Please note this is only available for 2 guests (above 6 guests). There are no toilet facilities. Guests will have access to the Barn and shared access of the driveway, hot tub, gardens and patio areas . The barn adjoins our family home. Please note the garden and barbecue area is shared with the hosts and is not exclusive to guests. We have 2 young daughters who will be excited to meet you. My husband and I enjoy running and cycling. We are able to offer information and advice on local walks, trail runs and cycling routes. The property is situated on the edge of the village of Ewenny, on a quiet pretty leafy lane adjacent to the River Ewenny. The house is very secure and has electric gates. It enjoys full privacy as it is not overlooked by other properties. It is surrounded by open fields and woodland. The barn lies within the vicinity of a 11th Century Norman Priory. If you are lucky, you who might see a peacock or two in the garden during your stay! The village of Ewenny has a small shop selling convenience goods and homemade (Website hidden by Airbnb) offers various takeaway food including Sushi Mexican and Pizza . There is a bus stop within a 5 minute walk which provides transport towards Ogmore or Bridgend town centre. Bridgend has a train station which is on the main south wales train line between London and Swansea. Cardiff is only half an hour away. The market town of Cowbridge is a 10 minute drive and boasts a few restaurants, pubs and boutique shops.
