Picturesque riverside village B&B

Welcome to Les Hirondelles B&B, nestled in the picturesque and historic riverside village of Armaillé. We offer a charming, serene green, beamed loft bedroom with super comfy king size bed, a sparkling new ensuite with shower, above a private salon/second bedroom with double bed, in our quirky, comfortable 500+ year old home. We include breakfast and offer delicious, homemade 'table d'hote' evening meals featuring local and organic produce. Licensed to sell beer and wine with a meal. Perfect for a couple, we can also accommodate up to 4 people using the double bed in your second bedroom/private salon which is down a staircase from the loft bedroom. (There is a 10 euro supplement for a party of two people when the second bed is required.) Guests are welcome to enjoy our courtyard and garden and all features of the village are a very short stroll away. We are happy to share our knowledge of the local area and show you round, or leave you to explore yourselves! We really want you to enjoy your stay with us so please let us know how we can help. Armaillé is the jewel of this area with its beautiful river, bridge, lavoir (laundry), mill, church and other historic buildings. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the experience of French village life. Enjoy a home-cooked evening meal with us. Our style is mostly soul food using fresh ingredients featuring the best of what’s locally and seasonally available. Standard Table D’Hote - At least 2 courses, with tea/coffee - 15 euros pp (We would prefer 24 hours notice but we can probably rustle something with less.) Special Table D/Hote - Fancy something in particular? Perhaps a French specialty or a birthday cake? - Quote on request (48 hours notice required.) Let us know any dietary requirements or strong dislikes. We are licensed to sell beer, cider, wine and champagne! Bikers, cyclists and walkers are welcome. Locked storage for bikes is available on request.
