Beautiful 2 Bedroom Cottage at Country Manor House
Lovingly renovated over the past 18 months. Our cottage is a former Coach House in the grounds of our home Farnley Manor. The whole of downstairs is a super open plan space, oak flooring, comfy seating, made to measure curtains and blinds from The Chateau Collection by Angel Strawbridge. Our kitchen was bespoke made and fitted by a local craftsman who also ended up doing the whole renovation! A kite winder staircase leads upstairs to the landing, two large bedrooms and a family bathroom. Our Coach House is completely detached from our main house. Guests have sole use of the entire cottage and seating area outside. The beds in our rooms are zip and link super king size, so can be split into 2 twins. When the bed is a super king, we put a mattress topper on so you have a gorgeously comfy big bed with no gap to fall down! Just let us know what bed layout you would like at the time of booking. We do have a driveway, but better use of the space is when cars are parked on the very quiet road. It’s very nice around here! We live in the main house and are around all the time in the school holidays. During term time, Guy and Georgie will be home after 5:30’ish each week day. We will give guests our mobile numbers anyway. We know the area very well and can recommend walks, places of interest and of course good pubs! In fact, our splendid village pub is a 3 minute walk up the road! It serves great food and fine ales, all the drinks you will need. The locals are very friendly! Farnley Tyas is a beautiful and historic village surrounded by wonderful countryside. Woodland walks and sprawling fields our on our doorstep. Everyone in the village knows everyone else, if you pass anyone on the road you will probably end up chatting for a while and learn something new! We have a very popular and proper village pub/restaurant The Golden Cock. You might come through the door and find a live guitarist and the locals having too much fun as usual! On a Sunday, the service at St Lucius Church starts at 10:30am. You will come here and you won’t want to leave! We look forward to seeing you soon. All the best, Guy & Georgie Robinson and family There is a bus stop right at the top of the road situated opposite the pub! There is a train station in Stocksmoor, the next village about 1.5 miles away. Holmfirth (Remember Last of the Summer Wine!?) is 10 minutes drive. Full of shops, good pubs, bars and some very good restaurants. Manor road is one of the quietest and most picturesque roads in the area. It also has some of the finest houses in Huddersfield on either side as you drive/walk down, so it’s worth having a wander!
