Little Gem on Lake Wawasee Channel

Enjoy a cozy stay in a fully equipped, newly remodeled cottage on Lake Wawasee! The property provides a paddle boat, two kayaks, grill, smart tv, WiFi and endless opportunities for lake fun! The inside is open, light and airy and is cleaned regularly. The screened in porch is a wonderful place to sit, relax and watch birds, boats, etc. This one bedroom one bathroom cottage is a perfect getaway for a couple, friends or individuals. The living room has a pull out couch and T.V. We call this property the Little House! The Little House is on a channel that surrounds an island. This island provides excellent paddle boat/kayak/canoe opportunities under bridges and out to the lake or across the bay to other channels filled with awesome nature! Parking for one car only (only applies in summer months). Guests can dock up to 2 boats. You can swim and float right off our dock, boat out to the lake, or drive 5 minutes to a public beach. Boat rentals are within walking distance at Wawasee Boat Company that also sells ice cream, lake gear and clothing. There is plenty of dock space on the 180° deck surrounding the Little House! In town there is boutique shopping, ice cream shop, grocery store, mini movie theatre, public park/beach etc. There is plenty of good food options in the area and unique restaurants on the lake that are accessible by boat or car! Great walking trails are all around the lake and a new board walk is being built over the water for summer 2020. We have a book of more information on these places and recommendations on plenty of things to do in the area ready for you to explore! Guests have access to the whole house including a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, boat slips and a grill. One car parking spot is available to guests. Inside the guests will have access to a tv with an Amazon Fire stick available for login and use (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) as well as games and movies. I live in the area and am around often! I will never intrude on your stay but can have someone there incase of any need. No public transportation ***IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN BOAT*** There is a public boat ramp on Lake Wawasee that is available to those wanting to bring their own boat/jet ski. We are located on a channel and you have to go under a bridge to get to this property from the lake side. It clears all small boats, ski boats and pontoons but if you have a large deck boat or wakeboard boat with a tower that does not collapse it may not fit under the bridge. Our family has been spending our summer vacations on Lake Wawasee since the 1940s. Needless to say there is a lot of fun to be had on Lake Wawasee!
