The 'Hut' at The Halfway House The iconic Halfway House pub, has its own self-catering accommodation within the pub garden. Which is renowned for its real ales and good hearty food. The 'Hut' is the perfect accommodation for a short break. The room offers its own access, kitchen, Kingsize bed, crisp white linen, en-suite bathroom, TV and complimentary breakfast refreshments. You can enjoy dining with us in The Halfway House next door, sample a few real ales and retire to your own ‘Hut’. The Halfway House is an authentic rustic pub with a slate floor worn smooth by the tread of generations of drinkers, a faint scent of wood smoke from the fireplaces and the delicious scent of home cooking coming from the kitchen. Enjoy sitting out in the fenced garden on a sunnier day, which has tables and benches to relax and enjoy. The pub offers a great selection of beers, ales and ciders drawn straight from the barrel and a menu of real homemade hearty food. With a devoted following from both the village and further a field, the friendly atmosphere is filled with chatter and laughter especially at the regular events. You’ll also hear the sound of the occasional dog snoring in the corner, without a blaring jukebox or TV. You will be able to access the Hut from the pub garden with its own entrance. There is a large carpark with access to the garden, hut and pub. The pub is open Pub Opening Hours Mon - Fri 11.30am - 3pm 4pm - 11pm Sat - Sun open all day 11.30am - 11pm We are in the heart of Somerset just off the A303 from London to Exeter. There are plenty of place to visit locally from Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Caves, Bruton. There is a no 54 bus service between Taunton and Yeovil that stops right outside our front door. We are on the national cycle network and lots of people use their bikes to get to and from the pub. Lots of people include the pub as part of a walk as there are many footpaths and bridleways near the pub. Located a stones throw away from local attractions such as; Glastonbury, Cheddar and Wells. And 11 minutes from the A303 if you're commuting.
